Every rifle is different. My Marlin likes 'em hot. I use H4895 max loads, 150 gr. Sierras. It also likes Leverevolution, which is a pretty hot load. I tried IMR 3031. It is OK but not as good as the H4895. I have some H335 but haven't tried it yet. I think it is more the velocity (and the bullet) than the powder, but that's just my uneducated opinion. You are on the right track with your testing, plus it's fun to go shoot.
Hey buddy, Take a look at my vid on the Rossi R95 ejector fix and tell me if your Rossi drags the bolt heavily along the top of the hammer ....im curious to what itbers think.

@@Darren-zp5up thanks for the comment, my gun does not do that. Mine is very smooth and works perfectly, no problems at all with the action.
H335 works well in my 30/30 .
