    Thanks Justin. I just bought one for my son yesterday and most dealers have no idea what half of the features are. This was very informative!!! He loves this car from his first test drive.

    Your review is well done and informative. I will put the Insight on my short list for used hybrids, even though I'm less than crazy about the push button gear shift and really wish it had a CD player.

    I just bought an EX and have had it for about a week now. Long story short, I love it. But, for some reason the only thing I can’t figure out is how to set regular cruise control rather than adaptive cruise control. It just bothers me that I can’t figure it out haha. Any idea?

    • @JustinFullerReviews
      @JustinFullerReviews  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Press and hold the ACC button ( button showing car with boxes in front of it on right side of steering wheel) until it beeps. It will flip over to a classic cruise control. Then use the set, cancel, and resume button as you would on any car with cruise control.

    Bit of an error there on the spare tire -- you can remove the insert and the inflation kit and the mounting point is right there for the regular spare and jack. No need to just throw it in the trunk. Helpful and informative coverage of all the tech.

    • @tousshong9438
      @tousshong9438 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He did mention that it comes with a fix a flat but you could definitely purchase a spare tire and put in the trunk well.

    Great job Justin. Wish Honda would have made the EX with a moon roof or an EX-L with it. Bummed the touring model doesn't get as good of MPG as the LX or EX.

    • @JustinFullerReviews
      @JustinFullerReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you really wanted a moon roof, you could always have an aftermarket one installed. Just a thought.

      Hit my head on touring due to moonroof...seems like costs 2 inches headroom.

    • @tousshong9438
      @tousshong9438 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could get similar MPG if you switch the tires to a thinner diameter tires like the EX and LX has.

    Nice and very descriptive video in just less than 14 minutes, I just lease the same model and after watching this video I am sure I don't have to wait for explanation of things from dealer to me when the car would arrive at dealer, I just gonna go sign and drive away. Thanks Mr. Fuller

      Go test drive one. It drives differently due to being a hybrid, but I drove an EX Insight today and was very impressed. Civic imo feels more like a teens car, this one feels more grown up and mature. idk if that matters to you, just my 2 cents.

    Most importantly; how long is the main battery warrantied by Honda? 10 yr 100k? Or more? More manufacturers are going with lifetime which is why I ask.

    Is it normal for it to make a noise right when you start to accelerate? Noise is like an engine is running but the it stops. It happens every time I turn on the car.

    Hi... What about seats is automatic or non in Honda insight 2019?

  • @kode1996
    @kode1996 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love new my insight. But the only thing is the rear seat headroom is not good for taller passengers none of the head restraints are adjustable and they provide little protection in a rear impact against neck injuries. The roof slants too soon taking away headroom. Other then that it's a perfect family vehicle. I have no complaints other then the headroom and head restraints.

    You can put the Civic Spare donut in the spare tire spot.
    The parking brake can be released by pressing the gas pedal also. You do not actually have to press the parking brake button.
    When Waze finally came out for the iPhone, I tried it out. It was not ready. Apple maps still offer the best experience.
    With that said, I use my Android phone 99% of the time and don't bother with the android auto stuff connected to the car. I use the Android Auto on the phone, and still, have the same functions, just the screen is active on the phone, not the car. My reason is basically that I have yet to have a USB cable that will keep a good connection with the car when using Android Auto.
    This is probably because of the phone though and the way it charges the phone. I suspect it is overheating trying to use Android Auto and charge the phone at the same time.
    I would like to have a dual Bluetooth radio, common on most aftermarket radios, so I can use my iPhone for Car Play, and my Android for my phone (calling and all those related features).

      You can set it to only turn on when you press the button on the tip of the blinker stalk. It can be turned off (turning on when right blinker is engaged.)

    Isn’t the walk away auto lock on the Acura RDX? I didn’t remember them having it on the regular accord. That’s nice if they are offering it on the hondas at the same time. Usually the features lag a bit after the Acura releases it.

    • @JustinFullerReviews

      The Walk Away Auto Lock is on almost all of the Honda Lineup! I would imagine Acura carries it on all their lines too.
