Family Trip Across America in a Piper Cherokee Private Airplane | EP 3 Yellowstone

Another early start but a short flight this time to Yellowstone National Park! A perfect VFR morning for flying at 10.5k to avoid terrain, but also requires us to check pulse Ox and start up the O2 system for the first time on this trip. A picturesque flight down the Ennis Valley before turning east, entering Yellowstone Park from above - check it out!
We fly over most of the geyser basin, head towards the northeast caldera rim, circle back over the Central Plateau for a close up of Grand Prismatic Spring before heading northwest out of the park via the Madison River Valley to KWYS. We hop in the waiting rental car to head back into the park and explore all the same areas by ground the rest of the day.
This was the highlight of our trip (so far…) and exactly my vision when I first got this crazy idea for a family vacation. THE most ambitious video I’ve ever attempted, from the flying, filmmaking, and the 18 hr day......hope you enjoy! Please Like, Share, and Comment - thx!
