Soft disagree on the inapplicability of the "Hindu-atheist" label. I think it depends entirely on what one means by "Hindu". It might make sense to the one using it, and not just be a thing to look cool.
The reason I don't use it, despite being born into Hindu culture, and engaging with it at a social level, is that on a personal level, I am tethered to neither the theistic aspects of it, nor the philosophical. If any "Hindu ideals" may have rubbed off on me, it's coincidental/ unconscious.
But maybe someone sees themselves as part of the social tribe, or uses prayer to affirm the aspects of nature beyond ones control, creating their own versions of deities, or perhaps trying to ingrain certain values within themselves? One can compose their own prayers, and consider themselves as a continuation of the culture, accepting the gods to be a figment of the imagination; a tool to encapsulate, affirm and harness their personal values, that may be born off their lived experience, that they may teach to to others through story and song. I think "Hindu-atheist" may apply to someone who engages in such culture. Idk anyone like that though, just a thought exercise.
Hinduphobia through and through

Why don't you invite Swami Sarvapriyananda to talk about Hinduism or Swami Medhananda.
Swami Sarvapriyananda had a great talk with Sam Harris, Bernardo Kastrauf, etc... too.
Even Miss Gayatri Spivak recommended him to study about Buddhism in Harvard too.

Hey Vimoh, thank you for educating this toddler (Sparshcastic) to think about atheism and rationalism. He has a long way to go. Tell him to chat with Science Journey. He will make Sparshcastic quit his love for Brahmanism in one day.
Ask him to read Babasaheb's Riddles in Hinduism.
The only thing that is consistent with Hinduism or brahmanism is casteism.
(Casteiesm=Hinduism=Brahmanism)
If you are a Hindu you have to be a casteist. Otherwise you are not a Hindu.
A Hindu cannot be a Hindu without a caste. The Hierarchical Caste system is the body and so-called soul of Hinduism.
Babasaheb can't be always right😅
Why don't you start criticising Swami Sarvapriyananda?
@@sumitdutta7043 No body is always right. Sumit you too have a long journey.🙂
Many kids think they can understand Hinduism / brahmanism without reading Babasaheb. 🙂🤨🙄
Thank you, but I am already an atheist, and have studied philosophy as my bachelor's. I myself am a Rationality and educational youtuber. I was asking the questions I have heard other people asking. I am not a toddler (not even metaphorically) and I don't love Brahmanism
@@sparshcastic Good luck with your journey. Scientific temper is something you have to focus on to become an atheist and a rationalist.
Hinduism / Brahmanism has a very dark history. It's a systematic way of exploitation based on baseless primitive ideas. Cheating, lying, stealing, manipulating, violence, spreading superstitions , exploiting..what not? Once you become a rational atheist it is hard to find anything positive about any religion.
Once again good luck...👍🏾
People generally give out historic evidences of existence of Jesus, Krishna, Rama, etc. And those sound fair. Denying those historic evidences is like why believing in Ashoka and Indus valley civilization?
Where people like you were, when I was growing up? I was being ridiculed and laughed upon when sharing exact same opinion when I was in school and college, infact I was lucky that my friends/colleagues weren't hostile/agressive. I strongly agree on definition of Atheism at 14:00. Power to you guys
Yaar Guna means qualities.
So obviously all the people who are born on earth are born with different qualities, some are by birth better in something while some are not.
Also, Gunas can be changed in current life too, it depends on what you do.
The main point is people start discriminating it and stopped the caste fludity among different castes.
Even the "Manusmriti" and some other smritis mention that if one varna of people doesn't do there duties properly they will be moved to lower cast and even lower castes person if they show abilities of higher cast they will be moved there, now if ask if this happened anytime, answer is Big NO so yaa Hindus are hypocrites in this case,
Shankaracharya changes some families castes from Shudra to Brahmin and vice-versa too.
So yaa caste discrimination happenes its a reality, but book like Gita also mentioned that at the starting it was not there.
Even in some portion of Vedas(older portions) there were only 2 varnas, Brahmin and Rajanya(people except Brahmins).
You can refer to Swami Sarvapriyananda's lectures on Gita too..
It'd probably take a decade or two till you can probably realise your GUNA/QUALITY/Talent to pressure a certain profession
But caste is assigned at birth, and can't be changed in most cases
By the time you've reached your adolescents, lower caste people were treated in such a way that they accept their fate
❤❤❤
21:20 For me, I don't believe in religious gods. But yeah, there is some higher power which is a formless entity i.e "Nireshwarwadi" as you said in 10:43

mai jis area me rahta hu uss area mai dalit ya jay bhim waale majority hai, mujhe kabhi aisa laga nahi ki woh lower caste ke hai ulta woh log mujhse jyada acchi paristhiti me hai, unko politics me bhi aur socially bhi jyada fayde milte hai. Aur mai OBC(general as no caste certificate) caste ka hu toh yeh mat sochna ki upper caste waala hai isliye aisa bol raha hai. Atleast income indicator hona chahiye ki agar inka itna income hai toh inko caste ka benefits nahi milega ya kam milega
Your example, if true, is an exception to the general rule. Anyway, even if they are economically better off than you, that doesn't mean they are getting the benefits of generational wealth and social status.
Okk so where is this place bro ?
anecdotal evidence!!!! bruhhh
I understand what you mean. You should be in support of the caste census because it will reveal which community holds how much wealth and land to be given benefits of redistribution through remunerative policies and representation in politics and jobs as well.
@@greenside7539
1. Different Objectives of Creamy Layer and Caste Census:
The introduction of a "creamy layer" in SC and ST categories aims to ensure that the most marginalized within these groups benefit from reservations. It's about internal differentiation within a specific category to prevent more privileged individuals from taking undue advantage.
A caste census, on the other hand, has a different objective. It seeks to map socio-economic data across all castes, potentially opening up complex debates about redistribution, representation, and even the legitimacy of existing affirmative actions. It could lead to broader political and social repercussions beyond just addressing inequalities within SCs and STs.
2. Redistribution Based on Caste Census is Not the Same as Reservation Policies:
Reservation policies are targeted interventions aimed at correcting historical injustices and providing opportunities to those who have faced systemic exclusion. They focus on providing access to education and jobs to underrepresented communities.
Redistribution based on caste census data is a different concept, suggesting a more radical reorganization of wealth and privilege. This could lead to broader socio-economic restructuring debates and unintended consequences, such as increased social tensions and caste-based politics.
3. Potential Misuse and Political Manipulation of Caste Census Data:
A caste census could lead to a heightened focus on caste identities and potentially create more divisions. Data from such a census could be politicized and manipulated for electoral gains, leading to further entrenchment of caste-based politics.
In contrast, the creamy layer principle is more about refining existing reservation policies to ensure fairness and equity within disadvantaged groups, without needing to engage in potentially divisive and politically charged redistributive debates.
4. Focus on Economic Criteria vs. Caste-Based Data:
Introducing a creamy layer in SCs and STs is focused on economic criteria and socio-economic status, rather than reinforcing caste identities. It aims to move beyond caste to focus on who genuinely needs support.
A caste census, by its very nature, would reinforce caste categories and identities, potentially leading to caste-based claims for resources rather than economic or merit-based criteria. This could undermine efforts to move towards a more inclusive society that focuses on economic need rather than caste alone.
5. Policy Implementation and Effectiveness Challenges:
Implementing a creamy layer for SCs and STs would be challenging but still within the framework of existing affirmative action policies, which focus on social justice and upliftment.
Redistributive policies based on a caste census could be extremely difficult to implement fairly, given the complexities of measuring privilege and wealth across diverse caste groups. There would be challenges in defining "privilege" and "wealth" across different regions and contexts.
6. Scope for Misinterpreting Support for Creamy Layer:
Supporting a creamy layer does not inherently mean one supports or opposes a caste census. The two are separate policy ideas with different implications. One can support refining existing policies (like reservations) without endorsing a complete overhaul of socio-economic structures through a caste-based approach.

vimoh asked "what is it that making them unwillingly to let go of the label hindu?"... here i think it is the fear of disconnection that makes them hold on to it. koi bhi mainstream se alag hi hona/dikhna chahta , as humans are tribal so the idea of apne tribe se dur hona makes them afraid n insecure. Evolutionary perspective iska ye hoga ki hum apne safety and security and also to acquire more resources hum majority group ko nhi chorte .Personally i dont believe ki koi itna serious hai apne identity ko leke . log bss attached hai cuz unhe badle me kuch mil rha hai(both tangible + non tangible) yhi sachai hai. Jaha kuch milna band ho jayega log chor denge uss chiz ko. and its true for everything. Humans are selfish first then anything else and there's nothing wrong in that.
