It would have been cool if Rockstar had done something similar for RDR II by getting back this director or another to make a pronotional short film. For those that don't know, this director also directed "The Proposition", which was the film that the original Red Dead Redemption was primarily inspired after. It's one of the best western films I've seen, and is extremely ubderrated as well.
I wish more people knew about this original 'pilot' R* released, people who know about it know there's more of a meaning to the 'You must be the man from blackwater ' line.
I do think this is an interesting "best moments of" during the early game. While there isnt much story, obviously this is supplemental and more for hype than spoilers
When this film came out in 2010, I was so desperate to see it on TV (believe it aired on FOX) but never could because timezone differences. Looking at the film now 15 years later really makes me appreciate how far gaming has came as a form of media, especially when we compare this to shows like fallout and the last of us
the point is that you deserve so much more than what you got, the RD1 "remaster" is a slap in the face for red dead fans. nobody is "hating" were just not happily slurping down the stinky brown sludge that R* decided to put in front of us and call a milkshake.
nah i wish what @stezzy2.016 said, it was a promo film when the game launched i didnt know it existed until like a week ago. I enhanced to HD resolution because the original is quite aged.

Aight I’m finna go play red dead
October 13 is long away 😢
27:57 What's in the box?
You'll have to play the game to find out
If we had a ps5 version of red dead 1 It should have this lighting and effects.
Go to display in settings and turn contrast up all the way and saturation up 1 notch and boom, better shading and more vibrancy
How can I enhance footage from 720p to HD like this? I wanna use it for my older videos.
I used a pirated version of Topaz AI
There’s probably better ways to upscale now though
"Official short film" like you are working with R*?
it’s a short film released on tv by john hillcoat from 2010 when the game launched it was really something to see on mtv late at night as a kid
