    These work great as diy overnight cloth pads if you have a heavy flow like myself. I didn’t want to pay 15+ dollars each so I tried these. Plus they are so easy to clean. Too bulky for daytime but top with a fleece liner and I sleep with no worries.

    I’ve been cloth diapering my 3 month old for about a month now. Loving it! However lately I’ve noticed we’re starting to have leaks around the legs. From what I can find in my cloth diaper FB groups, it’s most likely because of compression leaks because I use pocket diapers with microfiber inserts. Lots of the mamas recommended flour sack towels. So thanks for the video on how to fold! My question is, can I use them as the sole insert? Or do I need to pair it with another insert? They’re suppose to be a more trim option but if you have to pair them with another insert...seems like that’s just going to bulk it up anyways? I have about 30 diapers with MF inserts I want to replace so I’m trying to decide the best route to go. Thanks for your help!

      I usually pair them with MF insert or hemp or something else! I never use them by themselves. Well. I did when my daughter was 1-2 months. but can't anymore.

      Nurse Liz thank you for all the information my baby boy will be here on 12/20/20 I am getting ready I already brought 31 Alva’s dippers 😀I brought just 4 hem inserts , 12 MF , 25 charcoal bamboo that comes with the dippers and 10 FST from Walmart target don’t have them 😞
      So my question is what should be the bottom line of the cake if I use the mf with the FST? Or the others inserts where is better to put the FST ?

    Hi Liz, i have been through all your diapering videos and they have been super informative, i am an expecting mother due in less than a month, but i am still unsure as to what would be the best option for a newborn(type of diaper) and the insert options for day and night.

    • @NurseLiz
      @NurseLiz  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! Congrats on your upcoming little one! So i never start cloth diapering until they are about a month old and a little bigger, because my life is chaos in the beginning. We used 1 flour sack towel plus a tiny microfiber when our daughter turned 1 month ish this time around. You could probably just do one flour sack towel with a newborn

      Nurse Liz I guess i’ll have to try and see what options fits in best with my schedule in due course of time , but can’t thank you enough for all the videos and info, i was really overwhelmed with all the options available out there but feeling a lot more confident now , thanks again

    Thank you so much! I've been binge watching your videos as I've decided to do cloth diapers due to staying away from toxic products for my first born as well as savings. I do have a question just to be sure. So would you recommend the best way to complete a cloth diaper is with a flour sack cloth and Hemp insert together for a newborn?

    Great video! We are making the switch to cloth with our daughter (19m) and will be using with baby #2 due next spring.
    We’re having a hard time figuring out our combo for over night. Our daughter is a heavy wetter belly sleeper. Would it be worth trying an FST (boy fold) combined with a hemp for her? I feel so bad she keep waking up soaked!!
    Your videos have been so helpful as we make this switch!

    • @NurseLiz
      @NurseLiz  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd definitely try! Until recently we used an FST, 3 layer bamboo, and thirsties hemp for my daughters overnight. She's peeing through that now that she's 2.5 but it worked for a long time!

    If I'm adding this for absorbency, would I just put it on top of my hemp liner in the pocket or do I wrap the insert inside the FST?

      needs to be paired with something! For my 2.5 year old we pair it with a microfiber for regular diapers, and a hemp insert for when we will be out and gone longer.

    Can we use FST to make a insert or a booster for a newborn diaper ? If so how should I fold it for a booster and for an insert ? Do I need to cut the FST in two part to be smaller ? Thank you

    • @NurseLiz

    What size FST do you use? I bought a bunch from bed bath and beyond and they seem much bigger than the one you’re using. My baby is only 5 weeks old so it’s quite too large to do what you’re doing. I can’t find info online of the proper size of FST For pad folds. Thank you.
