- Well here is something that I never thought I would end up seeing. Both of the single axle amreps were down, forcing us to use this 2 mornings in a row on recycle in some tight areas that the full size tandem trucks can't go into. I know the video is a little long, feel free to skip around as you see fit. The last few minutes of the video show the truck dumping out into a 30yd roll off. Enjoy

I think you could be low on Hydrolic fluid. You should be able to use your A.R.E. And the pack blade at the same time.
Well, Tailslandian Waste Services has one but on a Hino 268 Short Chassis. It's some sort of Amrep I suppose.

I did that during the 80' I would've never got done at 700 to 900 homes a day with that packer being that slow.

I was wondering why everytime they dumped the toter the hopper was full, then at end of video you see how small the truck is, the park district out here uses those little trucks for the bike path cans, not a full route, feel sorry for those drivers.
My city has a pickup truck with a box of garbage bags and tells the employees to put the bag over the can and dump it
I would be rich with all the bottles and cans in those bins. Kinda wish I did have it all lol

We like to watch the hopper videos but this one was quite annoying- obviously the compactor was not running consistently ( why? ) and the timing of putting more in while it was massively full was ridiculous, he kept banging the trash barrels when there was no more room to put anything- he seemed impatient- just from our viewing opinions

They took down the 50 kmh speed signs on Grant to get speeders, and brought in about 30 million a year in speeding tickets. Mouse catcher makes $50ka year. One type of mouse catcher only sets the traps, and another only removes the traps. 20 mouse catchers. 5 year RCMP investigation into the downtown police station and no charges.....

West Coast Refuse Trucks explains it Katerina in the comments. The packer ram only functions when the truck's drive in in Neutral. Am able to agree that something, somehow some way, the packing function needs to work more often.

It doesn't seem like that type of truck is productive in compacting to make more room for the next load it should go up the side and over the top like normal.

This poor guy has to lift a can up and down at least 3-4 times just to empty a toter, hope his truck was in shop for service and this is the spare truck.

This isnt a recycle, this is always in one, recycle is plastics, paper, glass, aluninium and tetra packs to the other cars
its called single stream recycling
It gets taken to a facility where they pull it apart for you. Each house has a waste, a recycling, and a compost bin. There’s a specific list of what can and can’t go in the recycle bin. Here it’s paper, cardboard, rigid plastics, cans and (I think) glass. It is then sorted after collection by the company.
One useless machine as soon as it is put in gear to move the compaction stops useless as a chocolate teapot.

Sorry but what a shitty design for a recycling colleting truck! No space to dump the bins, has to shajàke several times.... not to mention he has to get out of the truck to hook the bins. Guess its for very small alleys in a warm climate city :p
