This song played on the radio in the USA all the time - it reached #9 on the Billboard chart that year. Most people in the USA didn't understand the words, but it didn't matter. The melody and the voices were just so beautiful. When I was a little kid, I tried to sing along, imitating the sounds as best I could for someone who knew no Spanish. I love it still to this day.
Interestingly enough, they also recorded an English language version of the song that was the B-side of the second pressing of the single. Some radio stations tried playing that version, but by that time, the original Spanish version had taken root with American listeners and it didn't catch on. I remember hearing the English version on the radio only once and never heard it again in 50 years since...
As for the song we may have different opinion, but TV realisation and TV studio layout and image quality doesn't looks boring despite 50 years have passed.

Seré el único que queda con la sensación de ir abrazar a AMAYA URANGA al terminar la canción...cuando empieza el tema se nota que la practicaron quizás varios días para la competencia...ella se ve muy nerviosa...tiene un volumen de sentimientos y esperanzas puestas en sus primeras palabras, que lucha por controlar...en el segundo 37 de la canción hace un gesto de fuerza contenida cuando sabe que viene una palabra con la cual tiene puesta su interpretación...al seguir cantando cierra sus ojos y tiene un montón de sentimientos a flor de piel...antes de entrar al coro...siente que va bien y muestra una leve sonrisa de alegría...todo contenido...al minuto con 2 segundos...mira a su derecha, buscando un apoyo ...una mirada cómplice del momento...el que esta al lado también la mira con una alegría desbordante....y ella se siente mas segura, con mas confianza...sigue cantando con mas libertad...en la parte de la canción donde dicen "laralara..laralara" antes de volver al coro....ella mira a los suyos ..a su grupo...a los dos lados...sabe que va todo bien y se lanza para terminar la canción...con todo sus sentimientos en su voz...no se...me queda las ganas de viajar en el tiempo y darle un abrazo...decirle que aunque no llegasen a ganar la competencia... su canción sera eterna, su voz sera escuchada en todo el mundo, y que ese día...ella lo hizo fantástico...que entrego todo lo que tenia...espero que si leen este comentario, perciban la entrega de una mujer que puso el corazón y su alma en una canción , que de ese día se quedo para siempre entre nosotros. Que heosa canción. Hace 50 años yo tenía 10 años y la profe de musica nos hizo cantar esta canción como un coro. La recuerdo con mucho cariño hasta hoy. Mocedades un grupo incomparable. Fue una época bella. Aunque en nuestro país se llevó a cabo el golpe militar. Todavía después de 50 años las heridas aún sangran y dividen a nuestro pueblo. 100% perfect in every aspect. And no one could sing the lead better. Amaya is just one of the best ever. Her range, depth and soul is untouchable. But I don't think she could have better backing vocals either. It's the perfect mixture of male and female voices

De la canción ganadora nadie se acuerda...Eres tú en cambio todos la conocen, la han escuchado y cantado alguna vez. Después del Festival de 1973 el tema “Eres tú” se convirtió en un exitazo descomunal no solo en los países de habla hispana , también consiguió lo que nunca había logrado una canción cantada en castellano en Estados Unidos , nada más y nada menos que entrar por primera vez en las listas Billboard pasándose muy por encima los obstáculos del idioma, porque el tema fue un exitazo entre el público anglosajón que no hablaban castellano .

Yo nací más tarde, pero mi madre, también profesora de español, escuchaba a menudo esta canción. La escuché hace poco en una emisora temática local de Turín llamada Radio Nostalgia y, recordando la letra, comencé a cantarla. "¡Qué lindo papá! No sabía que también hablabas español", me dijo mi hija. Una canción tan bonita pasa de generación en generación, dudo que la basura que se ve en el actual Festival de Eurovisión pueda tener más de unos pocos días de fama e incluso unos pocos días es incluso demasiado. Curiosamente en 1973 las canciones ganadoras de los festivales EUROVISION y OTI no trascendieron en el tiempo, sin embargo las de MOCEDADES (Eres tú) y CAMILO SESTO (Algo mas) perviven en nuestros gustos y memoria. Aunque considero que la ganadora ANNE MARIE DAVID presento un excelente tema.
2022 No creo que puedas encontrar muchas personas que hablan español que no conozcan está canción. Es un clásico. Letra bella. Y las voces son simplemente angelicales. No encuentras grupos o canciones así ahora.
Hay pocas canciones que puedan soportar el paso del tiempo sin perder atractivo, y esta es una de ellas, como un himno, un poema dedicado a Dios.

Seré el único que queda con la sensación de ir abrazar a AMAYA URANGA al terminar la canción...cuando empieza el tema se nota que la practicaron quizás varios días para la competencia...ella se ve muy nerviosa...tiene un volumen de sentimientos y esperanzas puestas en sus primeras palabras, que lucha por controlar...en el segundo 37 de la canción hace un gesto de fuerza contenida cuando sabe que viene una palabra con la cual tiene puesta su interpretación...al seguir cantando cierra sus ojos y tiene un montón de sentimientos a flor de piel...antes de entrar al coro...siente que va bien y muestra una leve sonrisa de alegría...todo contenido...al minuto con 2 segundos...mira a su derecha, buscando un apoyo ...una mirada cómplice del momento...el que esta al lado también la mira con una alegría desbordante....y ella se siente mas segura, con mas confianza...sigue cantando con mas libertad...en la parte de la canción donde dicen "laralara..laralara" antes de volver al coro....ella mira a los suyos ..a su grupo...a los dos lados...sabe que va todo bien y se lanza para terminar la canción...con todo sus sentimientos en su voz...no se...me queda las ganas de viajar en el tiempo y darle un abrazo...decirle que aunque no llegasen a ganar la competencia... su canción sera eterna, su voz sera escuchada en todo el mundo, y que ese día...ella lo hizo fantástico...que entrego todo lo que tenia...espero que si leen este comentario, perciban la entrega de una mujer que puso el corazón y su alma en una canción , que de ese día se quedo para siempre entre nosotros. Espero no ser el único, que a pesar de los años aun sienta esa magia en ella.
