Floyd's Barber Shop was what
made all barbers popular and
famous in the small towns like
Mayberry and Thank You for me showing this and bringing back
the memories of the old fashioned
Barber Shops of the 50's,60's,as well
as the 70's and the 80's(my years)
Thank You.🇺🇲📺📻🇺🇲📺📻🇺🇲
Jeff is a huge asset to Floyd's Barbershop. What a story teller. Loved every minute of this video.
It is amazing how well those chairs have held up! They look so new too. Definitely don't make them like they used to.
What a joy to watch this video. I must say that Jeff is definitely an asset to Floyd's Barber shop with his wonderful stories. I am a history lover and I really enjoy the nostalgia. The stories about the chairs and the cash register were marvelous. They just don't build things the way they used to. As a kid I grew up watching The Andy Griffith Show and still watch the reruns do to this day.Thank you so much for the trip down memory lane.
Awesome. I was there in April and loved the town and museum. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good video. Enjoyed it. Thanks to the owner and the barber.
I kick myself every time I think about that I could have gone to Mayberry Days before Andy and Barney passed. That is my favorite show ever! I'll get to Mt Airy someday but I'll always regret not going when most of them were still alive. 😔
I absolutely loved this video. Thanks to everyone. A job well done to you all. Enjoy your day and take care
Another one! Pure gold! Your videos go right to my heart.
We travel to Mt. Airy a few years ago during the Mayberry Days. We absolutely loved the Mayberry experience. During our visit, had breakfast at the Snappy Lunch, walked down the sidewalk on Main Street to Floyd’s. I had the privilege of actually getting my haircut at Floyd’s Barber Shop. These folks are as down home, and friendly as can be. Like Jeff, the barber not only gave me an excellent cut, but also told many witty stories about Mayberry. Good service, good conversation, and a good haircut at a reasonable price. Authentic Americana at its best. Thank you John for sharing this experience. My advice, be sure to enjoy everyday cause life is short. - Tennessee Smoky
I really enjoyed this video from Mayberry...such an iconic Americana location...I'm from Canada and loved The Andy Griffith show...What a character the Barber at Flyods was...He's perfect for the job...I just love ❤ your channel...keep up the great work!😊
Looks good! 🧡Sorry we missed you guys Saturday. 😢

Enjoyed the video John and watching you rub cheeks with Andy and get a haircut. I'm sure that was a real treat. You and Jodie be safe and God bless.

Such a Wonderful Video and even better People. Theres nothing like Mount Airy, its medicine to the Soul. So many Amazing Stories. My heart is forever in Mayberry

What a great video! Jeff is a riot! I'm another Jeff the barber and it's fun to make your customers laugh. I hope to get down there to visit and get a haircut.
Please do!
@@theappalachianchannel hopefully next year! I try to keep my customers laughing like Jeff does.
I miss Mt Airy! Used to live in Traphill and we’d travel to the “big town” for shopping and a snappy lunch!
Love it. Believe it or not I’ll be watching a couple of the episodes in two or three hours like I do every week night. Thanks for the great vid

This was such a great video!!! We love walking by this place when we are in town! Then you just walk next door and eat a pork chop sandwich!! ❤ Keep these coming!!
Glad you enjoyed the video.. you can walk into Snappys from the back wall of Floyds.
@@theappalachianchannel I saw that in the video! Never knew you could do that lol. That place is just amazing!
Awesome video! Very enjoyable!
Thank you very much!
I enjoyed Floyd's Barber Shop. hope you all have a great week.
Thanks John. How about doing an update on Ralph from Greasy Hollow?
Very nice great video! Great history!!!!
Mr. Russel cut my hair a long while back when I was working in town.
A good haircut usually comes with good conversation. The barber I go to doesn't speak English, but I still get a pretty good haircut lol
Your a handsome man John! Don't insult God's handiwork!!!! 😊
thank you my friend!
Wolfman's Goodies says that's cool 😎
The guy from pawn stars works as a barber,on his spare time there...Who knew 😉
🎉
John you should ask your Barber where he gets his haircut? And what hair tonic he recommends. 🤩🤩🤩🤩 And I like how that guy's wife pulls some junk out of her husband's ear before floyd the the barber gets to it.
My barber uses scissors on me. No electrical device, very hard to find a traditional barber.
26:14 Well golly.
That sure is one way to loose an ear.
The music's a little much on the same beat
No such place as mayberry nc smh it's mt.airy nc
