I’m too excited for this and I can’t wait until Mando Luke arrives into my collection very soon. I will say that this version of Luke from Hot Toys will be my grail figure hands down! Absolutely amazing!

This is definitely the Ultimate Luke Skywalker Hot Toys figure hands down! Definitely worth picking up and adding it to your collection and I’m very excited for mine to arrive very soon! Can’t not wait to have him displayed in my Star Wars collection as well.

You can also swithc out the Dark Trooper Torso with the regular one. This way the destroyed one can stand on legs too. That´s what i find pretty cool!

I love this revamped look of Luke’s RoTJ Jedi outfit.
It’s like an all black version of what Obi-Wan wears in Revenge of The Sith.
I think Luke’s fit in the Dark Empire series is fire & so is this!

The issues with the lightsaber + pleather aside, I CANNOT WAIT for this figure. I doubt HT or any other company could release a Luke that I'd want more than this. It's amazing and exactly what I see in my head when I think "Luke Skywalker."

In all honesty i was not too excited about Hot Toys announcement of this CGI Mandalorian version of Luke but how WRONG was i???WOW, this is the Luke Skywalker Hot Toys figure to own, i love it, the head sculpt looks amazing and being able to swap out hair pieces is a complete bonus, even the backdrop that comes with the figure looks great and well executed.Got my figure arriving tomorrow, i can not wait, to say the least.As always Justin, the best review out there and so pleased your fighting fit after your bout of Covid.

I just got this guy and he looks great. But yeah I don’t know why they keep making saber blades so de saturated. Just make them a deeper color and the light will just make it appear even more so.

I have the clone wars anakin one from hot toys and yes I agreed the battery powered lightsaber sucks so damn dim if you leave it on it would be much better with usb connection. Otherwise I love these collectibles.

I want the pose on the box, crushing trooper with gloved hand and holding a lightup lightsaber in the ungloved hand. But that is impossible because only the gloved hand gives a lightup saber.

Just wondering does the black hooded cloak this Luke comes with fit the Return of the Jedi deluxe Luke Skywalker figure?
It's a piece of cloth so sure you can put that on anything
It's amazing what they can do with computers nowadays, with recreating Luke's younger face (almost) perfectly. At least Mark Hamill gets credit for Luke's portrayal. I know I'm stating the obvious, but the Jedi outfits have a Japanese look to them, with their designs. I know George Lucas was inspired by Kurosawa.

Hi, just wondering of you've had any staining problems with the robes ? Just got into collecting and got Mandalorian luke. I want to display him with the robe but I fear it will stain my figure after reading comments about it happening with other robed figures...thanks

@@JustinsCollection I pre-ordered mine from jedi-archives. But I have seen so many other websites that keep pushing the dates back on the release dates of the new luke skywalker. Is it normal for hot toys to do this?

Awesome review Justin! Been super excited about this one the minute he was announced! And he looks sensational! Absolutely loved you pose near the end with the robe and the slash blade…I’ll be stealing that one! I have to add that you had the backdrop upside down however… But as HT cardboard backdrops go, this one is king! Cheers!

I'm glad I opted to preorder this one instead of waiting for a 40th anniversary. I wasn'y aware Luke was wearing classic Jedi robes in the show and I much prefer that look over his RotJ outfit

I think your Lightsaber blades are not done correctly! I’ve seen other reviews and they’re much more saturated without the light on.

Agreed about the DX complaints. There should just be one version with everything when it’s a DX. There shouldn’t be a standard and a deluxe.

How does it not come with a green coloured non light up sabre? Not everyone can have their batteries switched on constantly which means you’re displaying the figure with a clear stick…who wants that? That’s just crazy and a super lazy decision in my opinion.
It's green tinted but you're right its not bright enough

That's weird. Although HT have done it right with previous ROTJ Luke. The green and red arrows on this lightsaber are reversed. Even Disney get wrong sometimes. But at least HT didn't f up like iron studios’. They gave him the complete wrong lightsaber.

While I don't collect Hot Toys, I do build the Bandai 1/12 models. When I saw the Darktroopers, I had a similar thought - I need a kit of that! It's not just you, don't worry. ...Also Bandai needs to actually make a kit of the Darktrooper. Great video, Justin!

Can you swap the hands with the two previous Jedi Lukes'? The problem for previous releases is that they don't have gloved lightsaber holding hands! Great review.

Thanks for this review. Definitely the light saber blades should’ve been a more green. Those batteries don’t last long and they don’t light up the entire blade! It’ll look weird him standing there with an almost clear blade! Lol..
