I dunno what it is, but the racecar scene was supposed to be in 60fps and so was the transition out of that, yet it's somehow compressed into 24fps for some unexplained reason. At least for SpongeBob Christmas. I dunno if there are any other DVDs besides the complete Second Season DVD box set that keeps the original frame rate intact, barring the Pale SpongeBob coloring errors.

Scene 1 was removed because it looked like that Patrick was taking off Sandy’s bikini. Scene 2 was removed due to the car crash shown here, which is understandable. Scene 3 was removed because of SoongeBob’s nose moving up and down, which was viewed as obscene. These scenes were removed as of 2005
If I'm not mistaken, I think they got rid of the scene with all of SpongeBob's friends playing outside because Patrick rubbing suntan lotion on Sandy was drawn in a way that looked like he was taking off her bikini, and the car crash scene was removed because Nickelodeon felt it was dangerous. Not sure why they got rid of the exercise scene though.
@@ace-x6m Probably because the gasoline scene was only in the original airing and was never used for reruns or DVD. For this episode, the scene aired in reruns until 2005 (and again since 2019), and was on the Season 2 DVD.

After all, it’s on DVD and not on TV, so Nick can get away with more stuff and adding scenes that were cut from TV because they were deemed inappropriate and/or violent. It would have made more sense if the deleted scene from Just One Bite was used on DVD
ok i think the footage of that car crash has to be from the 1980s or the 1970s...cause there's no way that is from the 1990's or the 1960's what's the name of the car btw and where can i find the crash without seeing it like this
There's always mixed messages about the censorship status of this episode. I'm not even sure why exactly it was pulled and how often. The theories I heard include a concern that it encouraged reckless driving, as well as a claim that the driver actually died in that crash.
