This High-Torque is now out! homedepot.sjv.io/a1AQ4Z
Ryobi called and said we should re-test with "this" battery, so we did: th-cam.com/video/_fg92TtbY2Y/w-d-xo.html
To clear up some confusion, this is Ryobi's HIGH TORQUE 1170 FT-LB model. Not their P262 Mid Torque 600 ft-lb model. We busted our rump to try and get this out today. We DO NOT accept endorsements, gifts, or anything from brands. Since we get asked a lot about this, If you purchase anything from our Teestore and FWD your our order email to Torquerank@gmail.com you'll get a link to all our live updated rank lists

I really like that you don't accept manufactures free products even if they don't require a review.
Many manufactures are known to send better, clean units for review compared to what they sell to consumers.
So by only buying units available to consumers, I know that what your reviewing is the same version that I can buy. So thanks TTC

I have to agree with you. I've been using Ryobi for years, Homeowner/DIY I have 3 drills, 9ft pruner, 40V String trimmer & Snow blower, Impact driver, Miter Saw, and a few others. They give the homeowner good bang for the buck and in home use anyway, they seem to be durable enough. The only issue I've had is with the 40V batteries failing due to allowing them to run down and overheat.

Agreed, I had to replace my set of battery-powered tools a few years back and the tool availability was a deciding factor. Overall, I'm very pleased with what I have gotten so far; drill, impact driver, all-purpose saw, circular saw, reciprocating saw, etc. Although I have to say the 1.5mah batteries should only be used in an emergency or for a flashlight. The only tool that disappointed me is the stand-up led flashlight. It's performance is pretty amazing, but the durability is lacking. The swing-up arm became loose, and when I tried to tighten it the mechanism broke.

@@ItchyKneeSon Pretty dry here... Front range Colorado. We get some rust on cars from winter road chemical use but it's minimal. For this area and the cars that spend their lives here a "basic" cordless impact will remove most of the bolts on most cars and light trucks. It's also worth pointing out that it's the hammering action that really helps break free rust, so even a "weaker" impact still makes a great rust-buster.

if they really need high amperage batteries, you could try to attach a hobby grade lipo used in RC Cars and drones. the 18v replacement should be a 5cell lipo.
they are the best at delivering high power, they are just a little fire hazard, picky on how low you can discharge and dont do many cycles.

I think people need to realize something….the cost. I bought this high torque for the soul purpose of keeping under my seat for emergency flats
I can rip lug nuts off with ease and quick and at a $159 it doesn’t bother me to park a tool under the seat and probably never use it
But if I want to I can go to my truck and grab it
This thing destroys snap on and many others
I have no issue with it

@@jrod726 Nah, we don't do nut busting because after talking to several brands there's no accepted practice. Some use electric load cells against a deflection bar to determine it based on force spikes (SBD), some use off the shelf bolts (Hikoki) some use custom bolt and nut rigs that look nothing like you've ever seen in real life (most of China and TW). We'll let Shop Tool Reviews do nut-busting tests for 'yall. Tim does a good job keeping things consistent

I used the 2AH High Performance battery on the P262 to compress a pinion crush washer on a GM 10 bolt rear differential. It worked well. I wanted to sneak up on the preload, so I crippled the power of the tool. Or so I thought. The 2AH battery surprised me. It did drain quicker than I was expecting though.
The DeWalt DCF901 with 5ah battery didn't have enough beans for the job.

Ryobi PBLIW01 Impact Wrench RYOBI ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless 4-Mode 1/2 in. High Torque Impact Wrench (Tool Only) in June 2024 at Home Depot cost $219.
I went to store and picked up since only 4 miles away. Never able to find coupons/discount codes and when Home Depot has Any Holiday Sale never on stuff I need at the moment.
Then if item is on Sale, they void my 10% Military Discount. - Lowes does the same thing.
    Subtotal $219.00
    Delivery FREE
    Military Discounts -$21.90
    Sales Tax $15.77
    Total $212.87
Using to remove car lug nuts only. Tired of using a tire iron or cross bar and breaking my back.
Using Impact Wrench with Craftsman Protective Lug Nut Socket Set (17, 19, & 21mm), $3 cheaper on Amazon and Craftsmans 1/2 inch torque wrench at Lowes on Sale (40% Off) for torquing the lug nuts to spec. My Camry 19-inch wheels torque is 76 to 83 ft-lb. (103-113Nm).
Note: Larger and Heavier than expected.
Torque (lb-in) 14040 In lbs aka 1,170 ft.-lbs., Impacts Per Minute 2800, Maximum Speed (RPM) 2100 RPM, and Product Weight (lb.) 5.13 lb without battery.
I use the ONE+ 18V HIGH PERFORMANCE Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah Battery (2-Pack) however HD wants $199. I bought Two 4.0Ah with dual charger for $99 from HD in 2023. Cannot believe the Price Gouging Home Depot is having. Prices are rather high at HD that they were in the last few years ... more Scam Tactics???
Read many comments from various websites and those from other TH-cam videos regarding Craftsman and Milwaukee impact wrenches crapping out and batteries don't last.
Also, some of the lower priced Ryobi models fail and that like all other brands, Ryobi does not honor their Warranty. Another issue, Your Ryobi tool goes bad/fails and take it back to Home Depot that Home Depot will tell you need to send item to Ryobi because of 3-year Warranty. Either way you are screwed because Home Depot won't replace it or refund your money and Ryobi makes your RMA living hell. Oh! Craftsman products no longer have Life Time Warranty or Replacement. Since Sears Co., is no more Craftsman warranty went south. Milwaukee may have been the best choice but why pay 2 to 3 times the cost as cheaper to get the Ryobi.
Rigid product are usually good, mainly Rigid Shop Vac's but to pay another $30 plus and get same performance from Rigid Impact Wrench vs Ryobi make little sense.
