Heyyyy almost on time this week (wow)! This week's video is all about freebies! I recently polished up my daily brush set so this video goes over how to use them all. You really don't need that many brushes, only a few good ones and you'll always be a happy digital artist... if you know how to use them right! Hope this helps, I'll see you next week in the new studio! I'm off to do some packing now 😭 You better have a good weekend or the brushes will turn into a virus 👹

He’s honestly become my favorite art TH-camr, I know he offers his own classes, but for the rest of us who can’t afford it or already having some schooling under their belts, he’s the best. I’ve watched others and they’ve either become drama channels or want you to buy some product. I like that this channel still promotes free stuff and knowledge to the rest of us. I mean I know brushes can take a while to make, but the things he actually sells in his shop like his models and posers I can see worth buying. I’m always hesitant to buy digital brushes because what if they just don’t end up working for me or what I want in my work?

Really happy to see one of my request fulfilled. I've been closing myself for a long time in cell-shading. One of the reasons for that was because I was lost and never really bothered trying other brushes than the basic round one. But you inspired and motivated me to try them out. Nowadays my colorings are getting much closer to my traditional pencil work, and I even got a couple of commissions for that. So thanks again and again

thank you for these!!! one of my favorite things about digital art is experimenting with texture, and lately i’ve been wanting to add more interest to my usually flat-looking art, especially line art. but customizing brushes seems to be its own art form. i always appreciate artists sharing brush packs as well as the demonstrations to help give ideas on how to use them!

I love your endorsement of the low res textures look. I recently created lower res versions for my tx brushes. It's a stylistic preference, but nothing irks me more than seeing super sharp textures on a digital painting. When freelancers send in their projects one of the first things I tend to do is gaus blur or smudge out some areas

I love you Marc. You along with Ethan Becker and Dave Greco are my modern-day art heroes. You guys have paid tutorial content, but even the free ones are just so packed with information that's enough to inspire a digital artist everyday. I must say that I always watch your videos the most because it's usually the most informative. I've been doing digital art since 9 years ago and the artist who inspired me was ArtGerm, Sakimichan, and Tamplier Knight. However, ArtGerm's artwork felt repetitive. Sakimichan's artwork turned me off when she started drawing NSFW content for money. And Tamplier Knight just went into a hiatus. That gave me a long break from digital art, like 6 years. I was in a good track of learning but I stopped. I wish I didn't stop because if I had continued, I would've been a great artist by now. Just last year, I stumbled upon your videos and that gave me the same inspiration I got from when I was just starting up in digital art. Please continue doing these kinds of content. You don't know how much this means to artists like me who struggle everyday with insecurities and lack of inspiration. Some day, I will take your Digital Art course not just as a way to support your hard work, but to also get the proper training for me to be a credible digital artist :)

Thanks for updating the brushes! They do work well in procreate. The only exception is the Rust brush which doesn't seem to mesh well with procreate's brush engine. If you're importing the brushes into procreate, you'll need to decrease the size of the brush because it defaults to a very large setting.

Thank you so much for sharng these! I've been playing around with them after getting them just now, and i can confirm they are great! Especially the hair brush is an honest to god gift from heaven, for someone that usually had to use a thick paint brush to try and imply the strands of hair, or try to draw each one individually, to a much worse effect. I might still use that method, depending on the effect i want to achieve, but this definetly speeds things up and gets a more believable texture.

I've only used the same 4 brushes since day one, never wanted to be reliant on digital brushes.
Basic, blurred rim, eraser, and chalk.
It's crazy people get so dependent on using other brushes when you only need the basics.

Digital brushes are exactly like traditional brushes- different ones for different uses. Nothing crazy here.

I've been using your cube brush as a lineart brush forever cause I love the texture of it. Might have to actually use the lineart brush one day lol.
