Loved the video!💕 Just started my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They offer a huge variety of digital comics for every genre, and lifetime updates too!😍
Wow! I don’t hear stories like that from back in the day very often! Definitely members of the community that have stacked that one over the years and done well with them.
Great video. If you’re taking recommendations, I would like to see a top 5 for each tier you presented; understanding that the .35 #1 is in a class by itself.
Great video. The Phantom Menace tpb really does seem crazily undervalued for the first appearance and cover of Darth Maul. I imagine this could change alot over time as a lot of younger fans like the prequels a hell of a lot more than older fans
Great stuff, Drew! There are so many Star Wars books out there, it is daunting to dip your toe in. Your list gives a really good starting point, regardless of budget 👍
I have stuck mainly to the original Marvel Star Wars comics I grew up with. I have a good chunk of the first volume including all the major keys. I only wish I had a chance to get that 35cent variant of Star Wars #1. As far as modern SW goes..I have the first Darth Vader series with the first Dr. Aphra etc. Nothing much else though.
Man, I know there are some hardcore 35 cent edition collectors out there, but I didn't realize that Star Wars 1 was that pricey! I always check copies of Scooby Doo 1 for the 35 cent variant, that book is pretty much a ghost. Great video, as always!
I always love when I see you at least one of my books on your list which I have the Ewoks in a new stand that I got at a steal on eBay. I just remember having stacks of all these books that are worth money nowadays if I can only go back to my younger days and tell myself how stupid I was for getting rid of everything
Being a hoarder has its benefits… well, at least until you find you’ve been living with your mummified cat that you haven’t seen in a couple of years! 😬
I think a great installment would be forgotten 80s comics from the other companies. There's a lot of stuff done by big artists Like Bernie wrightson and the covers get no love lol
True. I don't think it will go down much more if at all. And Ahsoka has only been in three animated shows and one live action. Seems like a sure bet she'll be around for the long term, in more live action, animated and also stuff aimed at younger audiences, and probably video games at some point. She has become a core SW character
It’s definitely not affordable, but it sucks less now than it has for a few years. That said if you’ve been waiting since it was a $50-$100 book, the current price is definitely still gonna sting.
Don't lose hope. CW1 was the top target on my list (I'm a big Ahsoka and Rex fan!). Given the prices of the last few years I didn't think I'd get any higher than a 9.6 copy if I was lucky, and I came close a couple of times to pulling the trigger on a copy. Boy am I glad I chickened out on those deals. Right before Christmas 2023 I was able to get a 9.8 copy off Facebook Marketplace for $1500 (Canadian...so maybe $1100USD?) from a guy who was pricing a bunch of his keys for quick sale so he could grab a big time grail. I had to sell my copy of Edge of Spider Verse 2 (CGC 9.8) in order to do it, but that was house money for me; I paid cover price for EoSV2. Anyway, keep looking high and low. Someone is bound to part ways with theirs at some point soon.
@@CoMoComicBooks Exactly, only 1,000 copies. One could argue that the hype on Ahsoka has come and gone, but on the other hand, I think a lot of people are still not even aware that book exists. If I had a copy, I'd be hanging on to it!
This one was great. May the force always be with you?

I remember buying Star Wars 1 in 1977, they restricted us to three copies each. Wish I had those now. Also discovered comic book shops then. : )

If Marvel Super Special is too expensive, go with the paperback edition! Bonus: Yoda is colored purple.

Very Fun. Thanks Drew!!!
Great video!!! Huge Star Wars fan so I’m always happy when people do videos that are Star Wars related. Keep up the good work. 😎
Thanks Dale! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

Can't wait to start my collection
Thanks for sharing this, truly excellent content!
Great video, appreciate you sharing it!
Great show guys, thank you
Great video! How about something artist focused…Like Frank Miller keys on every budget or Neal Adams keys?
That’s a good idea! Thanks Chris!
ill definitely try that, thanks!
wow, great video. thanks so much
Fantastic vid!!! Thanks a lot!
very helpful, worth the watch

No shortage of wild 80s stuff out there, that’s for sure!
Great video!
Thanks Kyle!!!
Been waiting yrs for the Clone Wars issue 1 to go down in price, but has not happened. I think it's time to just buy, I've waited long enough

I wonder how high the Clone Wars 1 limited edition variant could go in the long term?
That one could be interesting to watch. Just a 1,000 print run on that, I believe.

The fact that ahsoka is worth more than sw1 is blasphemy.
It’s all about supply and demand! There are a lot more SW1s than Clone Wars 1s out there!
Thanks a ton, this was super helpful!
