    LYRICS:
Three heavy stones will keep it from floating,
Weigh it down to the bottom, food for the fishes.
And I know that it won't be discovered
'cause I will be careful, so very careful.
What if it doesn't rain for days and the river is
    Reduced to it's muddy bed?
With a corpse exposed I would work in haste
And I might bury the bones in a shallow grave.
And the rain comes and moves rocks and the stones
Washes away all the dirt and the mudflows
    Bones are exposed and well.
    You know how that goes!
I wait for the day when I'll finally defile
The bodies of my ex lover's lovers.
I'll pile high to the sky
The bodies of my ex lover's lovers
Die die die die die die
Die die die die die die die
    Watch them die. (x2)
I saw you with him. You looked so happy.
All of that can change, cause I am so lonely
And I have lots of time to send you straight
To the Devil. I'm taking my time
    To plan your demise.
What if I were to cut you up and mail each part
To a different town? It would take the most
Brilliant private eye the rest of his life
    Just to put you together.
A piece in each mailbox all over the planet
From Moscow to Tokyo to Guadalajara.
I wait for the day when I'll finally defile
The bodies of my ex lover's lovers.
I'll pile high to the sky
The bodies of my ex lover's lovers
I wait for the day when I'll finally destroy
The bodies of my ex lover's lovers.
I'll pile high to the sky
The bodies of my ex lover's lovers
Die die die die die die
Die die die die die die die
    Watch them die. (x2)
I saw you with him, you looked so happy.
That will never change because I know myself
Too well. I don't have the courage
    To carry out my dreams
And only there will I see them
Die Die die die die die die
Die die die die die die die
    Watch them die. (x4)

I watch The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, but I never knew who did the songs, specifically BRAINS!. In fact, it took me a year of listening to this guys music before I figured it out. I'd never seen that he had a song called BRAINS! and when I listened to it, it just hit me like: "Woah, holy fuck."

It's so freeing to have a song that puts these feelings to lyrics. I'll never truly forget the one that got away and, having this song to listen to when things get a bit too heavy is almost like the old "write a letter and burn it" thing. It's therapeutic, like letting out the emotion rather than bottle it up.

I find this song liberating and frightening at the same time
Like it is normal to feel these feelings yet I fear my feelings
I know awareness tames the monster yet I fear releasing will unleash my desires into action and at the same time I fear repression :/

It's an inner monologue of someone who hates the one he still loves, AND himself for loving her. All that scary shit is just for himself, expression of his hate. He is just a normal person, trying to get out of his tragedy and start a new life. And though he says to himself that he has no courage to kill her, in reality, he simply knows good from bad.
Many of us had that tragedy, but hardly anyone went on to kill their ex. Because we are not monsters.

    • @LegoMelone
      @LegoMelone 10 ปีที่แล้ว +15

I listened to this song after my ex and I broke up though I knew of it like 3 years before then. Just as much as I know how to kill and hide bodies. I can't. I'm not a monster to take someone's life. They did nothing to me. What would killing them bring me? Satisfaction that I got to hurt her? It's pathetic, but I love this song because it described my state of mind when her and I broke up.

    • @bioforce5
      @bioforce5 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Zer0 the Dominator I think for some the line of thought is that if your ex isnt around anymore, you're free from it. There isn't any point in being hung up on somebody who happens to be dead.

My favorite parts of this song have always been "and well, you know how that goes!" (ha, so nonchalant... yeah, yeah, that's how that goes... opps) and "From Moscow to Tokyo to Guadalajara." (V has a knack for putting a lot of place names in his songs and I think it adds to the overall imagery and the way the fury seems to rise in Guadalajara is great). I think we can all relate to this one a bit, it's the anger stage of grief personified that seems all too familiar after a breakup.

This is an amazing and underrated (perhaps because of the terrifying lyrics) song. I was wondering if you (Voltaire) would team up with either Serj Tankian (weird but tasteful vocalist), Buckethead (favorite guitarist and is very eccentric), or Liz Gillies (She played Jade West from "Victorious" and has a nice voice that works for gothic music). Keep up the good work.

Quite similar to thoughts that I have about my once deeply loved ex-girlfriend.
Except, she still didn't have a replacement for me and all my violent thoughts are crowded only arounded her.
How pity that's all, often I think it's better if I just never knew her at all so I wouldn't experience neither happiness with her and neither pain without.

Rarely there is a song (or any other form of art) that captures so weel, yet simple, such strong emotions. Emotions which no human being is happy to admit he or she had felt, but are very close... to the heart. So yeah, thank you for being so lovely honest. Ceep on the good work, love it!

Though this style of music is not my favorite, I appreciate the beauty of it. The music is inspiring and the beat is catchy! It's great and I loved it, even if it isn't Techno/Industrial.
I wonder if the radio would play this stuff?

This song... so catchy. Having this little gem bouncing along in my head after I just broke up gets a little... distressing... when I feel angry at my ex and her new boy.

The lyrics' arrangement really throws me off when trying to sing along. I love the song as it is, but I'd love to sing to it as well.
    Great work nonetheless, Voltaire!

You are an inspiration, not just to me but most of my friends too. To be honest it's because of you that we feel confident enough to go forth into the world and try to be successful. I plan to open an alternative Goth Night Club because of you.
