    Gonna download the free Dimensioning Best Practices Ebook
    Thank you very much for this vid and the instructional site and ebook.
    Edit: I had a quick scroll on your website and saw that you offered many free ebooks and tutorials. Gonna bookmark your site haha. A BIG THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO YOU OR THE SOURCECAD TEAM.

    How do I add a visual ruler to at one corner of the drawing (when I am not displaying dimensions) so that someone can match the ruler drawing in the printout with an actual ruler to confirm that the drawing has printed correctly? This is of much need in pdf too as the pdf reader doesnt show the drawing to actual dimensions at 100% zoom and it varies from one file to another.

    Sir, what if we draw the layout in meters, I will be thankful if you answer the question

    • @luimma
      @luimma 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think i have the same problem that you are experiencing. When drawing in meters and going to the plot dialog, you find it either lets you print mm or inches, if you choose mm and then match it to meters, (1m =1000mm or 0,001m=1mm) you find your annotation scale does not match the plot scale (like selecting 1:1 annotation scale in the viewport leads you to a 1:100 printed drawing) from what ive found is either you start drawing in mm or you edit the default scale values to match what you are selecting.

    I see options for 1:1 or 1:50 (and so on), but is there an easy way to use architectural scales? Say 1/8” to 1’-0”? I’ve been using the “Custom Scale” and doing the math myself (1:96), it’s just inconvenient.

    Isn't the first example wrong because your unit is in feet, yet you scaled in inches...

    • @sourcecad
      @sourcecad  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The unit is obviously set to Inches which can be checked using UN command, I guess you got confused because the dimensions are mostly in feet whereas the plot window shows it in inches?
