I live 30 minutes from the Columbia River Gorge and it never get's old. Every time I go hiking in the gorge I get the same "I can't believe I live here" feeling. And I've lived here for 30 years.
The Colombia Gorge region is a lovely part of the world. One of my favourites for natural beauty apart from parts of England, of course. That path up Multnomah Falls is deceptively steep! 😂 but lovely wilderness at the top.
Great vlog as always, Julia. Portland is gorgeous, and the waterfalls were breathtaking. Thank you so much for taking us along on this beautiful layover. Always great to see miss Luna too
Several decades ago, I lived in Portland for a year. The summer was fantastic. The sky was sunny most days and the temperature was the perfect in-between temperature, where it was cool in the shade and warm in the sun.
Cape Fear in North Carolina has been a great place for suspense movies! Robert DiNero comes to mind.😊Robert Mitchum did a great job in the original too! Thank you JJ for the great video!
We took Amtrak to Portland from Ohio, then rented a car, did all the falls parks, went to Mt Hood and then three days doing the Oregon coast. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for your great video
Beautiful filming..smooth with a connected easy and emerging flow, causing me to also feel like the mist of the waterfall on my face, the smell of the earth and the flowers.
Happy tears watching this video. My heart was left in the PNW from a vacation 3 years ago and loved seeing all the falls again. Thank you soo much for sharing your trips!
That waterfall is stunning, my goodness. Wonderful filming once again. Love the blue colour vibes inside your plane too. Also liking the magnet. So I'll guess Charleston for your next destination :)
Yeah 🎉🙌👍Portland my hometown, so beautiful, the water falls, Cannon Beach, I’m homesick😢I live in Florida now, but Portland will always be my home “city of roses 🌹 “
I live in Portland, Or. Glad you enjoyed the magnificent Columbia River Gorge. Next trip there, if you have more time - drive all the way to Hood River (great windsurfing spot) then travel through the Hood River Valley with its fruit orchards, vineyards and wineries and on up to the historic Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood!
Greetings from Portland! Yes you did fly in on a perfect day since this weekend is supposed to rain. There are so many waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge. Hopefully you can hike a few of them next time. My family works for Horizon Air out of PDX also. Just a little coincidence!
Love all your trips you share. We are headed to San Diego / Oceanside, CA, in August. I plan on enjoying the outdoors! Portland is so pretty! Thank you for sharing. I vote for a summer video of hiking Day with Luna!
Great 😊 job. Keep up the great 😊 work. I went to Portland, Oregon first, then San Francisco, California next back in the end of March to the beginning of April 2024.
Whoa you were here. Why not stay closer to the hoetel? There's some good stuff along the max red line start at pdx goes downtown. You have lloyd center, pointer square, etc.
I live in Waldport OR which is a part of the central oregon coast. About 3 hrs south of cannon beach. If you ever have a chance to visit here i have so many recommendations for places to visit and delicious restaurants to eat at. You definitely have to visit cape perpetua. It's about 15 minutes from my house so we go a lot. It's absolutely breathtaking! Loved this vlog!
I miss Park City, UT... would love to see video :) Also I knew with the hints that you were heading to PDX... I was born in Portland and spent about 15 years there... As for the Oregon coast... I counted 11 consecutive weekends of beach trips one year when I just couldn't get enough of that Salty Ocean air! Oh... LOVE your hair after the braids came out in this video... I am new here... Just getting ready to hit the SUBSCRIBE button! I have done a lot of traveling and always appreciate flight attendants that enjoy the career... One of my last trips from MEX to SLC there was a very interesting Attendant that chatted with me for a good part of the flight helping time to pass quickly... everyone else was snoozing... haha!
If you’re going to Charlestown South Carolina, a neat little stroll through the Battery Park area is interesting. Oregon is a good green state. Yay, Luna at the end. Take care.
Hi Julia, I love the waterfalls and that place you went to with all the flowers, fruits and veggies and more. Oregon looks so beautiful, I'd love to go there someday. Have a wonderful weekend
Beautiful area. Your hair looks great too. So love seeing you. We have lots of rain here in England our summer does not seem to be appearing at the moment. But it’s great to see you are having fun.
That's 1 of the reasons I live in the PNW. fresh air, water, flowers I could keep going.😀 Oh Drat I didn't catch any easter eggs. I was enjoying the water falls. I love water falls and the beach.
Cannon Beach is beautiful as is multnomah Falls. A place we stay often is Sunriver, which is just south of Bend Oregon. It has miles of bike trails, hiking trails and also known for great skiing at Mt. Bachelor. I believe you can still take the chairlift up or hike up and around in the summer. It’s central Oregon, not close from portland for a day trip though.
well I guessed this one correctly. And I am going to guess CHT for the next one. If so, go get some of that Carolina BBQ. If you can, go to Bridges in Shelby. A classic, and I bet you would have fun. Like the Easter Egg concept. Wonder if I flunked, or passed the test.
I missed all your Easter eggs regarding your next trip, but I do have a quick question for you: How long did you work for the regional before moving over to your current mainline? Was there much difference in the FA training between the two carriers? As always, Cheers from GEG ❣
Two questions for a future video, if possible: -. How should we approach you to introduce myself as a subscriber to your channel, should I see you at an airport or on a flight, without seeming to be a “creeper” type? I wouldn’t want to interrupt you on the job… -. The other one is, would you do a video on how you handle multiple time zone changes on a two-, three-, or even four-day trips…especially with coast yo cost flights or trips to (for example) Cancun, Hawaii, Puerto Rico as part of those trips? (I’m exhausted just following along on your blog when there are multiple time-zone changes!)
I live in Wichita, Kansas and I have a friend that lives in Oakley, Kansas and you stayed there. If you ever have a meet and greet I’d love to meet you guys.
If you get another one of those long layovers in Portland, you should go to visit Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood and do some hiking around that area. It's at 6,000 ft. Beautiful area. And do a revisit to Cannon Beach, one of my favorite places to go. Thanks for the video of Multnomah falls. Planning on visiting that this summer, along with Timberline Lodge and Cannon Beach! Nice family getaway trip from Washington state. Only 5 hours away
Hello, Julia. If you are bidding a trip to Charleston, SC, you might wish to tuck into a meal at 82 Queen. It's a restaurant in a historic house located in the French Quarter there. Looking forward to the video.
hi Julia, Maria from Athens. W.hat a wonderful , colorfull video. Amazing waterfalls. I do hope some day you will put a magnet of Greece on your fridge . Take care xxx
So I was offered a job and worried about losing my weekender job which is at a hospital if I start being a flight attendant. Are they flexible in allowing you take weekends off? Just trying to get a feel before I start even training. Any advice would be appreciated
Hey there! So I am 6 years in and it is still really difficult for me to get weekends off. I want to be honest with you it’s HARD to schedule things around this job especially in the beginning. I missed weddings, holidays and many important events. It’s a great job but you will definitely be working weekends
Love these videos where you bring us along hiking or city touring. As a non american you give me a glimps of what your country looks like. Hope you do the same in Charleston..😁
Any guesses for our next destination?! 😊 thank you for watching! Love you guys - JJ
Los Angeles?
Charleston should be next. I know cause I saw on Instagram that you went there.
I guess I was somewhat correct with saying either California or Oregon. It would be nice if it was LAS.
Charleston!

Your hair and makeup on the second day looked so good! 💕. The scenery is stunning too!
I call this area home and I will never get tired of how beautiful this area is.
The Colombia Gorge region is a lovely part of the world. One of my favourites for natural beauty apart from parts of England, of course. That path up Multnomah Falls is deceptively steep! 😂 but lovely wilderness at the top.

It’d be cool to have you make a video of you and Luna swimming at a pool
