Yay the bunnies are back!!!! You would never know that beautiful wood grain was under that dark finish! The soft whitewash really made the wood grain stand out. I love the paint color too! Not only did you save this from the trash, but you also were able to give this piece a whole new identity.

I’m at 3:26 and ur comment popped up…..I was juuuusssttt about to “fast forward” and then saw the “I love 🐇 “ and FROZE…..I adore rabbits, especially on furniture and even fount TWO gorgeous brass Rabbits 🐇 this shape, not the head, that are “drawer pulls” which I am waiting for just the RIGHT piece to present itself for me to use them as I will NEVER find more of these again! An antiques dealer friend said they were hand made and from the 18th Century…..So NOW I am intrigued to see exactly what she does with this!!!! (I wish i could show u a photo of them as they are truly something special….so detailed that you can see each hair (no pun intended but that was GOOD LOL!) on their little bodies and their ears are perfectly done, one straight up and the other a bit more “flopsy”. Even the paws and tails are amazingly detailed. They are abouth 3” high and 1 3/4 wide and the screw goes into about his side but more to the middle of where the belly would be if he was facing straight out but it is ore of a 3/4 turn to him/them/she? LOL. Anyway, glad you said that so I did not spoil the ending for myself!!!! Good luck finding something like these two treasures as they always appear when I least expect it and am NOT looking!!!! PS: Prima has a great forest theme transfer if you like those that has a bunny on it and it is one here where the lady used it AND used an Epoxy mold as well giving it a 2D look. STUNNNNNING. It was an Anthropologies inspired piece and looked SUPER complicated but for 5K for the Originial and it cost her $300 to MAKE not counting hours of course it was amazing!!!!!!! Sorry I can’t recall the “artist” upcycler. I am sure if you did Anthropology inspired Chest it should pop up? Truly something I would LOVE to try in a DECADE or so LOL.
