- Empire in Flames is a super unique server. It's definitely a server I suggest if you're not looking for the average pre-cu experience we've had over the years.

An amazing server, with an incredibly active GCW. If you're looking for large-scale group PvP combat, with planetary invasions and galactic conquest, this is the server for you.

This server is amazing. The combat is balanced, the process of becoming Jedi is phenomenal, the devs have added huge weekly planetary invasions that player Senators get to decide on, not to mention a ton of unique and amazing features that make quality of life SO much better. It's astounding it took me this long to find it but definitely became my favorite server, and I'm excited to have made the move to Empire in Flames. Can't wait to find a holocron and become a Jedi, but in the mean time enjoying Bounty Hunter immensely.
mind explaining how the jedi unlock works? trying to find it

@@jwsykes7628 Low pop servers aren't a bad thing. As sometimes it's nice to just go at your own pace and the like. At least that's how I feel. And it does tend to mean Grinding as a jedi is safer.
I am very interested in the server i just...Can't go through some long, drawn out or complicated Jedi grind...Again. DOne it onetoo many times now. SO i'm curious what they have in min das all i can tell is something about...Holocrons.
You guys should do more videos on some.of the custom content//planets on some of the other private servers. Without a ton of time its still cool to see what is going on in the scene.

This is a fun server. I just installed it and love all the features, extra planets and the HAM system. It's great!!!
I had fun playing this especially gcw but it gets lonely when you only run into like 1-2 people per day while playing. If it had the same number of players as legends or at least even finalizer, it would be the perfect server I’d stick with

Joined EiF about a week ago and everything about it, it's so UNIQUE and GREAT. I have tried other servers, CU, Pre CU, NGE, they all pale by comparison to EiF. It's using the classic Pre CU icons but with sooooo many innovations and custom content that stands to logic PERFECTLY. The game is balanced to a 1000%.

Only reason i wouldn't play this server even though 99% of it looks amazing is the housing rule that you can only build housing in player cities. No thanks id rather be out to myself... The point of SWG was to play how you wanted. you could group up or be alone.
While I agree with you guys on some level, it is SOOOOOOO awesome and refreshing to not have abandoned houses littering the entire landscape. While a hermit myself who would also like living out in the middle of nowhere, I have to admit that the pros definitely outweigh the cons on this one.
You could always set up a house on the outermost border of a city so you can be somewhat away from others.
@Gen X Well that's just flat out incorrect. Dathomir, Yavin, Endor... those planets are also huge but never intended for housing.
The size of the planets have nothing to do with the design intention to place houses all over them.

SWG has a completely fractured fanbase all playing on servers that are low in population and struggling to stay active, except perhaps Legacy...
Who would have thought that the NGE would be the most popular version of the game...
I think the 'fractured fanbase' goes to show how broken vanilla pre-CU was. After a few years on Basilisk I was looking for better options. I agree it would be nice to see more people ingame but I'm happy with a good community even if it's not huge.

I think part of this is awareness I did not know about this server until today
i think due to the non vinella races, added like huts, qualish , all those, they are just the npc models, put on the human mesh, mainly depending on what body the head fits best or matches, when they imported the npc skin to the player character mesh in creator.
13:10 politician was in the actual game it came when player cities was added like in 2005 basically you could only run for city mayor and do city planning if you was a politician kinda shady tho when your job = running a city
but not sure they expanded it like this so thats cool.
Yeah, i was told yesterday that Jedis are not overpowered here but since the game takes place after Order 66, Jedis are supposed to be few and far inbetween, hence the hard work to unlock the class. Unlocking Jedi has always been this way in every iteration, except NGE, where you can even start out as a Jedi, which defeats the purpose.
Have you tried Restoration?

The skyhopper is so cool. Mos eisley to sarlacc in like a minute

Currently on legends. I'm going to try it just for the holograms and holstered weapons.
It’s a very fun server. I just wish that it was busier.
I was shocked to see the old layout of mos eisley as well as the fact that it was completely empty.
I wonder: can you place bounties on other players and if you play as a bounty hunter you can hunt other characters bounty? That’d be cool!
Actually I used to pad my own bounties to kill BH in PvP, It's A Trap!!!

I miss SWG Pre- CU. I don't even have the game disks anymore. Tossed them thinking no one was going to create a server for us.

So... if your HAMs are all high, and your damages are all high, and your specials costs are all high... is there any difference from dialing it all back? Adding an extra 0 to the end of everything is like saying "But this one goes to ELEVEN!"
So this server is post Endor, right? But which continuity? Legends or canon? I hope it's Legends timeline.

Server is very click. if you are not NR and friends with the dev team you get nothing if you are you get DJM spawned for you when you want, better drops, and more access to content.
Dang? I remember during live the developers would drop a boss to clear us all out every so often. I remember the early days when there was 50 of us in fort Tusken we had a Tusken King spawned and wiped us all. It was definitely dev controlled too because they followed us.

Hmmm. It shouldn’t be any different than installing any other SWG Emulator. Admittedly, I always have to play around with them myself to isolate the folders. Have you joined the discord group yet?

lol yes. and if you want your partner to play and have an account you have to have them take a picture with your right hand and your account name and password side by side cause your not allowed to use the same computer as well. seems a little facist, they must be lonley . espically on a 20 year old dead game . also shouldnt have to buy two computers that seems rather fucked up against poor people but whatever. they must have smoll pps @@AdventureGameHotspot

I've tried getting back into the game but the controls put me off for awhile.
Is there anyway to customize it so it works like WoW?
I mean i loved the game back when i played it (pre cu of course) but i think playing WoW just made me realize that even thou i love SWG but the controls when it comes to combat just feel odd to me,not fluid like in WoW.
If anyone has any tips i would really appreciate,i really want to go back to playing it.

Oh yeah. Most of the original missions plus some custom quests.
@@AdventureGameHotspot oh nice i thought pre cu servers dont have theme park quests and stuff, i play on legends and i want to try a pre cu server like empire in flames but i want to do quests, empire in flames look nice :) , can you please tell me who gives me quests? Are there questgiving nps in empire in flames and is there a quest journal?
@@Sphinx3 it’s certainly different than CU. You don’t have Legacy Quests. However, most of the Legacy Quests walk you through the old quests. They kind of repurpose them. For instance, you can get the quests from the Mayor, Jabbas theme park, nyms, etc. they just don’t force you there. 😊

@@AdventureGameHotspot Basically I've burned out of ground content almost a decade ago. Pre Cu/CU/NGE I had all the former resources available in the final days of SOE live servers. Pre CU/CU bio engineered clothing and relic weaponry, NGE customized weapon/armor stat sets/heroic jewelry for pvp/pve. Ironically it was Space GCW and player sponsored events that provided the most entertainment. PvP depots/bases typically got hacked using clone camps or story teller tokens, space pvp was simply a matter of skill and available resources.
I admire Empire In Flames for the massive species contribution made to the game, while I tolerated the limits imposed by CU my account was banned for a simple login error I don't care to correct. Between EMU's I use the same two login credentials I used on SOE live, no jtl and a minor character lost why bother to recover it. I drop kick deleted a major investment on Legends server after the dev's split and the community went belly up worth billions in assets. I'll reconsider EIF if they someday add the Abednedo (species) and JtL.

Sadly, the toxic and abusive 'staff' on this server hold it back from all of its potential greatness.
