I love these secrets videos, they’re some of my favourites. I still can’t believe that the camel is that rare. I’m probably gonna get some flack for this, but that mount was one of my first special mounts. I was new to the game, was a freshly dinged level 85 (I started in Cata) and I was in Uldum for Archaeology. During one of my dig sites, I noticed this little camel figurine on the ground and clicked on it, thinking it was to do with archeology. Suddenly, I’m teleported somewhere else with this giant Ettin looming in the distance. I wasn’t sure what to do, but I engaged it, barely killed it with me at low hp, and looted the mount, which I was super happy with, since I didn’t have a camel mount. Imagine my surprise when a few months later, I came across the mount on wowhead, and all the info stating just how rare it was. So I had unknowingly became a mount collector long before I knew what that even was XD
i got the grey riding camel week 1 of cata when i was farming ore my curser randomly showed a cog i clicked and poof realm first. no acheivement but people had no idea what it was
Berith had a similar experience with the reins of Poseidon in Vash I made a lot of people mad cause I didn’t know how many people were farming for it still use it to this day
Lol, nice one. I had a friend make a new horde character, I bought some grey vendor trash he had posted on the Booty bay AH (cross faction). He bought lots of prairie dog whistles/snakes etc, then listed them for 1 copper, I’d quickly snatch them from the ah, then list all the cats for him to buy out. That single faction, basic pets made us a lot of gold. There would also be a big difference in ores/herbs between horde/alliance, we could really profit from it.
Did you ever try the add-ons? Search the mount on Wikipedia for some add-on suggestions. I found it the second time by casually flying around the waypoints placed on my map for me, then had a huge alert go off to let me know it was real or fake. It was a very casual affair with some help. I second the Secret Discord tho. Plenty of posts there daily of people finding mounts to give away. It's a bit competitive though depending on what you want. Got my Aeonaxx that way!
@@wayne20uk I doubt we could slay him. He made though WoD and Legion . Alone and found us in a magic floating city that fought off hordes of demons. This dog may be a some thing between a wild god and a being of order .
"Never complete this quest." So exactly what every cool person did with Dartol's Rod of Transformation before it was removed from the game. I kept it on my hunter throughout all the xpacs and when I logged on one day it was just deleted from all my bags and the bank.
I still remember getting the camel mount in late Cata... it sucked having to click on so many of the figurines, only to get the dust... but when I finally got the one that teleported me to Dormus, I was thrilled... and to this day “The Camel Hoarder” is still the title I use on most of my characters.
2:10 is only partially true, the item you could interact and loot the locked in the broken shore scenario was there since day one, you could even turn it in to the NPC, however the very end of the quest chain which allowed you to get the bonnet from the chest wasn't added until after the pre-patch (not 1/2 way through the expansion, as you could loot it as soon as 7.0). I was one who stumbled on the item during the legion pre-patch, as you can even see wowhead comments going as far back as pre-patch.
Dam i didnt know about Dog in Legion Dal , that is pretty sweet. I was hoping they would bring him along as our adventures continued. I hope he makes it to Shadowlands and beyond with us
I don't think it is. Been following all the secret-related news in WoW since Legion and no info about the dog appeared during BfA. Maybe it'll be back in Shadowlands to follow us once again.
Little Timmy spawns every 2 hours on one specific location in stormwind. He has one white cat and does his whole route which goes for about 20minutes around stormwind - you can buy one cat and when you have bought the cat he still walks the whole way but does not have the cat to purchase - he is easily campable because he always spawns on the same specific location and walks back to the spawnpoint you can not miss him
Westfall stew acts like Tonga’s Totem and can be dropped anywhere, even dungeons and bgs. You can’t interact with it, but it’s fun to drop whenever people are asking for food or buffs.
5:02 Well yeah, it was added in 6.2.2 and it wasn't really secret, because it showed in the pet battle tab and it was datamined, so people were actively looking for the pet.
I remember doing that chicken quest for a horde guild called Rush, on bloofeather. Because I helped so many of them, I was the only alliance player that they never attacked.
I just got my Terky :D thanks for the video :) I had no clue they existed, I just watched the video out of curiosity and gave it a shot to see if I could get the murloc.
Thanks again for this video!! I got Terky with no issue, but the Westfall Chicken was hilarious!! Spamming the snot out of this chicken "buck buck buck" and dancing around like a Christmas fool. Another toon came up to me and asked, "What in the f*** am I looking at?" which made me have to start all over because I burst out laughing and broke the spam string. Then I got so excited when the chicken quest FINALLY popped that I accidentally KILLED the chicken!?! ...and had to do it all over again... I did get the chicken in the end. I always get my bird!
I found the cave where the White Murloc Egg was located in Wrath and returned to it after every patch and it was always empty :( Glad to see Blizz added something in there after a while :D
I really like the toy that cast a rainbow, it's really fun to mess with people in pugs and during raid downtime. A hidden item that was awesome back in the day before Deathwing was the sword of mastery and links boomerang.
It used to be a trinket and I totally didn't have it equipped for easy fights to use during the pull as the tank. Nope, I never ever did that to any group causing them to go WTF during Cata before it became more well known because I was a responsible tank...
I got the chicken in vanilla just by pure coincidence. I was a new player and a kid. I discovered the chicken emote, thought it was hilarious and went up to a chicken and spammed it. Got the quest, got the feed, got the chicken and I was stunned. I honestly think that without that chicken I wouldn’t still be playing today. I’ve taken some breaks, including a 7 year break, but I always come back and it has a lot to do with that chicken. /chicken
come on, is tonga's totem and the cryocannon arent really hidden items.. Quest items shouldn't be on this list unless the quest is rare/hidden, which both of these aren't. Rather a better hidden item for a "bigger than a normal" companion pet that isn't a quest item, should have been Don Carlos' Famous Hat.
I mentioned this in the first video but whats secret about them is that they actually work outside of their questing zones. That is not at all common. I probably should have stressed that fact in this video as well

I miss the sprite darter hidden pet that Ally used to be able to get in Feralas. I always thought Horde should have had an equivalent to this through the Tauren/Cenarion Circle. For Ally, if you looked a little you found a reclusive quest giver wanting you to help the sprite darters that were being captured by the Grim Totem and once done, sent you to Darn. If you came back to the obscure quest giver you got the egg that began an around the world trip to pick up things to help it survive until going to the Wildhammer in Hinterlands where it hatched and you got your pet, all on a reasonable timer (so you didn't want to get it and log off or go raid) which gave a nice sense of urgency that you really were saving a little creature. Horde's only way to get this was by killing the same mobs in a later expansion in Feralas (WTH?) and then with Cata, it became the only way to get it for both factions. WTF Blizzard - that completely undoes the entire spirit of the quest and what you were supposed to be trying to do. But, I guess with new streamlined WoW, taking a few to travel a bit to get a hidden pet was seen as no longer tolerable, even if it was a completely optional activity. I am glad they are still putting in hidden items and quests to get non-essential items like pets or transmog. I enjoyed getting Glimir (?) and I did it on a toon that didn't have any underwater advantage other than a Darkmoon Skate and it was fine - you just had to be quick and pay attention. I haven't done the Sun Darter Hatchling one but am impressed at the amount of puzzle solving people went through to figure out how to get it.
Great video! Btw, I’ve done the chicken hidden quest heaps times before as Alliance with any chicken critter near the NPC that sells you the chicken feed and I’ve never had to type the emote /cheer for it to work. Just the /chicken emote spam until it gives you the quest, give it the chicken feed and voila a free chicken pet. Oh btw I have the Grey Camel mount! Definitely my first hidden rare spawn object hunting mount. I was lucky enough to get that one and the pink hippogryph mount from Aszuna which was a similar hidden mount locked behind rare spawn pink crystals.
When that camel statue finally turned into a tornado for me, I honestly just froze in place, did not believe after how many years it was actually happening.
Well, no, he smelled the rock and licks you reassuringly and then turns up in Dalaran, Legion. The joke, if it even counts as one, is how did a normal dog manage to use the smell from the rock to track a floating magical city to a different continent. Which is further compounded by the realization that it already not only followed you from a different continent once before, but it also followed you to an alternate timeline, and NOW returned from that alternate timeline to the previously mentioned magical floating city that is on yet another separate landmass.
One of the best hidden items in game for Alliance is a questline in Dustwallow Marsh that requires you to take a portal to Stormwind towards the end. A quest called Return to Jaina gives you a port to Theramore from a mage standing @ the bottom of the mage tower in Stormwind. If you never turn in this quest, your toon will have access to Theramore from Stormwind forever as the mage will always port you as long as you have the quest. This is helpful since there's really no direct routes to this part of Kalimdor from Stormwind City.

SUPER SPECIAL SECRET ITEM: there's a quest in an early zone that gives you a rock you have to throw at a badies head to complete, just don't finish this quest. Yes but can those items be used outside of their questing zones? Or have special cosmetic/gameplay effects? The answer is no for 99% of quest items, thats why these ones are special. Its my fault for not stressing that fact though I will admit.
There was once (late BC I think) a Cloak armor quest item (located in Darkshore (Aliance side)) that when equipped, makes you turn into a Sabretooth cat. It was fun until it was first NERFED and later ultimately removed from the game.
Place 2: requires buying from a merchant in a dungeon room and a monthly event that spawns an npc who asks you find a frog that needs special interaction with bought item- gives battle pet Place 1: stone
Not sure if you've covered these two, but you've got Lucid Nightmare, and The Riddlers Mindworm, both are mounts, and require lenghty riddles, puzzles and hidden objectives.
Because half of his list has been common knowledge since the relative expansions and there's information everywhere on them. Aside from the ones where you hold onto quest items which has been something people did since forever I.E Furbolg Wand from Ashenvale. I'm more surprised that people didn't know about most of this stuff. Alaina's Cowl was found like day one of the prepatch for Legion. Chicken and Cat Carrier people have known since Vanilla. The murloc egg was in the game since 1.8 but nobody knew how to get it and it was speculated to be a promotional item for like Blizzcon. So I'm not sure if it's been at that location since Wrath or not. Jubjub I think was in the game since 1.6 with the Darkmoon Faire but not entirely certain on that, I remember getting mine back in like TBC.
There’s a community that actively works to find out secrets in the game. Once they solve a mystery or find something new word gradually spreads to anyone interested in finding out the less surface aspects of the game
The lucid nightmare is by far my favorite secret, the waist of time like its name suggest is also a huge joke (but amazing) hidden item. The one i have never found still... and i am still trying to find from time to time is the Void talon egg, it is rare just like the kitten + the camel AND its also limited by PC performances because on low-medium particles setting it is in some locations almost impossible to see. It is funny how it had (and still has) so many superstitions tied to it too! Edit: If the Camel is in this, the 3 items i named deserve to be in one of your hidden item vid! Lucid Nightmare, Waist of Time and Baa'l have only well hidden clues the 3 are the most fun treasure hunts in wow and they break lots of boundaries for wow player. (i bet lots of people dont know that the little minigames in the current retail Nazjatar zone are actually older and hidden!). Join the hivemind!
Not seen all your videos but the Furlborg or whatever transfromation stick from the classic ashenvale quest. I am pretty sure it is gone but classic probably has it
Got the Super Simian sphere at the same drop as my blue proto drake in WoTLK, very funny to use the sphere as when using druid bird (flight) form you could just be an ape flying around (swimming) in the air in a pink bubble. Had many new players asking me if i was a GM XD
I realize this video is older but from my knowledge, the egg was added to the frozen sea as a hidden pet, when MOP came out along with battle pets. By the way, Horde are the best clearly... we get all the special totems lol!
About the chicken egg being possible for horde in vanilla... I don't think so unless you had a second account or knew an alliance player or something because I'm 99 percent sure in vanilla you had to pick horde or alliance. You could not have both on the same server.
I remember reading about Lobstermourne as an upgrade for my shammy on Ask Mr Robot, got the first couple done and the got destroyed by one of them. After recruiting some help in /1, and we were able to finish the quest. That weapon animation is....gross.

Place 2: requires buying from a merchant in a dungeon room and a monthly event that spawns an npc who asks you find a frog that needs special interaction with bought item- gives battle pet
Place 1: stone
Not sure if you've covered these two, but you've got Lucid Nightmare, and The Riddlers Mindworm, both are mounts, and require lenghty riddles, puzzles and hidden objectives.
How do you even find out about these?!?
@@jennywakeman5049 I'm sure not all his viewers have been playing since vanilla. I heavily played though patches 5.2-6.3 and didn't know any of these.
There’s a community that actively works to find out secrets in the game. Once they solve a mystery or find something new word gradually spreads to anyone interested in finding out the less surface aspects of the game
Dog is a good boy. :)
I had the white kitten, westfall chicken (buy the feed before going there) and other rares, but my favorite is the Time Lost Protodrake.
Remember when Little Timmy sold *Ice Shards*?
Those were Good Ice Revenants.
According to Wowhead, the white murloc egg was added in patch 4.0.1, so when Cataclysm started, at the end of 2010
today i watched this video and a few hours later strolling thrugh stormwind on classic i found timmy and got the kitten!
finally a much awaited video! loved watching your videos. thanks.
I don't think you used to have to /cheer for the chicken if I remember correctly.
white murloc egg was not in cataclysm, it must have been added either in MoP or WoD
it amazes me how people discover these things
Not seen all your videos but the Furlborg or whatever transfromation stick from the classic ashenvale quest. I am pretty sure it is gone but classic probably has it
Hiru: number 10 is the white kitten
Me: bitch I have three kittens all from Timmy himself
Got the Super Simian sphere at the same drop as my blue proto drake in WoTLK, very funny to use the sphere as when using druid bird (flight) form you could just be an ape flying around (swimming) in the air in a pink bubble. Had many new players asking me if i was a GM XD
I had no idea the white kitten was so exclusive. I’ve bought 3 of them from the little dude in storm wind 😂
By the way what swords are those that your Death Knight has equipped in the section where you are talking about Alaina's Bonnet?
ok it's cool if something get revealed after a long time but if blizzard add new hidden things to wow isn't a bad thing at all. love these things!
The bonnet was available at the start on Legion, not midway thru the expansion.
the ppl who aren't subscribed are asmongold's fans who only watch your videos on his streams.
i remember when i was itty bitty playing wow in the early days i accidentally found out the chicken thing, my brother wouldn't believe me
If you get the camel you also get an achievement and title the camel hoarder. I got it in current content completely by accident lol
What about the Legendary pebble from the penguin pet in Wrath? Was that only a Wrath classic thing or was that in og?
I still cant belive I got the camel mount from the very first statue i clicked on. Saved med sooo much time.
Does Kua’fon count as hidden? The rare egg drop that you grow into a rideable mount in BFA?
I realize this video is older but from my knowledge, the egg was added to the frozen sea as a hidden pet, when MOP came out along with battle pets. By the way, Horde are the best clearly... we get all the special totems lol!
Hi Hiru, what are the addons that you are using?
That camel is the bane of my existence.
I did not know Horde could get a Westfall chicken until this video.
About the chicken egg being possible for horde in vanilla... I don't think so unless you had a second account or knew an alliance player or something because I'm 99 percent sure in vanilla you had to pick horde or alliance. You could not have both on the same server.
White Murloc Egg was added in Patch 4.0.1.12941 (Cata launch)
Surprised not to see B'aal on any of these lists
An item being found FIVE YEARS after an expansion ended...love that shit!
For the figurine, you can use a target macro. That's how I found them and got my camel.
I remember reading about Lobstermourne as an upgrade for my shammy on Ask Mr Robot, got the first couple done and the got destroyed by one of them. After recruiting some help in /1, and we were able to finish the quest. That weapon animation is....gross.
I miss you, Cereal.
