Hi I was wondering if you had some time to talk with me about your experience with pulling the Hydro Rear of your BX apart in the video you said you regret doing it,That you pulled the front side of the case where the Hydraulic filter is. I got aBX25D and it is the same setup. On mine the Hydro filter is busted right off and the Thread's for holding the filter on the part you screw your hydro Filter onto in the center of the filter seal is the thread's and a hole in the middle. I got the tractor and it's missing the broken part and I need to remove the case and replace it I thought about tig welding a piece of cast aluminum onto the busted housing and then machining new threads and hole . Not sure yet I need to get it apart in any case to perform what needs to happen never the less. I hope that you see this and have the time to respond. I was going to provide my Phone # but realized anyone can see it. I'm not sure how we can talk or message each other if possible if you are willing and available. I appreciate your detailed information and I am willing to compensate you for your time and knowledge. Thanks and God Bless Dale
Best thing a person could do is just not even try to use that diff lock and avoid this problem (expensive repair) all together. I put a large bolt and large covering washers in diff lock foot lever track just under the lever so me or no one else can even try to activate it. If the front wheels wont get you unstuck get a winch or another tractor to pull you out. Much cheaper this way ! Too many people just don't know how the diff lock is to be activated and they press that lever and the other wheel is moving too fast then there you go the pins are gonna bend or break. Might work a time or two before it does but it will happen.
I have 2707 hours currently on my BX25 and the diff-lock is a necessity for all the things I want to do on my 5 acre property. I do stump and stone removal, lots of soil transfer and working around three wetland ponds. That is why I did this: th-cam.com/video/B9cr39Cf6Io/w-d-xo.html The NEW BX have no improvement on the mechanism, but mostly the diff-lock fails on the backhoe models, or using the FEL for digging with a ballast box.
I have a series on the BX diff-lock if you happen to venture into here. I did it twice, but the second time I modified and hopefully fixed it permanently, th-cam.com/video/B9cr39Cf6Io/w-d-xo.html BX25 diff-lock by ya472
The issue with BX tractors is that they’re not enough tractor to move a rat turd without being stressed. I own three Kubota tractors but not a BX. Them things are tits on a boar hog.
