Me and a buddy did the Rimrocker in 2020. Great trail. We hardly saw any other vehicles on the trail, except near Moab where a group of local Jeep folks who were driving West to East had parked smack in the middle of the trail and were having lunch. They asked if they could finish their lunch before moving, so we waited around for 15-20 minutes until they had packed up and moved their vehicles. Toyota folks would never be so inconsiderate! 🤣
ha! That was REALLY nice of you! I’m going on the trail in May 2023 and I’m concerned about the trees & brush scratching our trucks. The trail looks very narrow especially on the UT side. We’ll have a Raptor and a modified F-150, is the trail wide enough? The area of concern is between coordinates: 38.35811, -109.31901 and 38.40989, -108.93364. Thank you!
@@AmericanMuscleTruck you will undoubtedly get pinstripes on some sections of the trail (closer to Moab). The trail is barely wide enough for one car, and it's full of open grazing cows. You could probably skip that section by bailing out early and staying on the highway.
The ending was the best. Glad to see you are like that all the time and not just for build/diy/garage work. Been subscribed for atleast 2 years. I could tell the family had plans for 2020 till the bug swallowed up the year. Hopefully you have reignited your trips. Can't wait for more. Hope you can talk a compliment from a Gopher you.. ?Badger? Anyways in wyoming for 12 month then moving to Montana.
I stumbled onto your page when I was going to get an FJ. I ended up going with the 4runner and later learned you guys got one as well! You are my go to page for questions and information with trails and 4runner related thing. Love the channel, keep up the awesome content! Who knows maybe I'll run into you guys in slc or Colorado 👍
My personal goal for 2024 is to do the Rimrocker trail and the Whiterim trail on the same trip. I have some work to do on my 05 TJR and plan my camping gear for the trip. Great video.

I am taking my wife on her first overlanding trip. She loves the desert and want so see more of that than mountains. I need to keep it to green or beginner trails for he as she is not as adventurous and I am. Can you suggest anything from Vegas to Moab. We need to end up in Denver or back a Vegas. I thought the rim rocker would be perfect but it doesn’t look like enough desert or canyon scenery for her. Any help is appreciated.
Would you do this trailer with an off-road trailer? Something alike a NOBO Offroad 7ft wide x 13ft long? with clearance and Offroad tires? Using a lifted wrangler.
4:15 LOL, your videos are always funny and entertaining, but this time, your daughter STOLE the show! 🤣😂
I wish all video's were like this. Short and to the point with all the needed information. thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Never leave out the bloopers. It makes you human.
You guys seem like a great fun group to hangout with.

Thanks 👍 nice overview of the Rimrocker. Looks quite amazing.
Quick question, what tire deflators are those?

Muito bom! Parabéns!

Excelente! 👍
Hi guy's, are you able to camp along the way. we have a rooftop tent. Thanks, Harry
A lot of great camping along the way!
How long did it take to get to moab with camping along the way?

Can this be done in 1 day in an suv?
Would this be ok in van with AWD and all terrain tires? Sprinter 144. Basically the same size as a RAM 2500 crew cab short bed.
Short answer yes. There is a section along the CO and UT border that's very brushy, so expect some pinstriping. Have fun!
Would you do this trailer with an off-road trailer? Something alike a NOBO Offroad 7ft wide x 13ft long? with clearance and Offroad tires? Using a lifted wrangler.
Personally, I wouldn't take such a large trailer down this trail.
would an overlanding trailer like the off grid trailer expedition 2.0 do on this trail?
A trailer would do just fine on the Rimrocker.
Did you show that handheld radio dash mount in another vid?
We have this one: th-cam.com/video/ZsuCPVyU1Zo/w-d-xo.html
Look like a great trail for a overlanding trailer?
Pulling a trailer would be no problem on the Rimrocker.
Do you think a stock Subaru Outback could do it
In the drier months yes. Have fun!
How busy was that trail?
Not very busy at all. Especially on the west side.
Great video, looks like it'd be Subaru friendly?
It is!
I did it in a Toyota Highlander with my cousin who drives a Subaru Crosstrek. Very doable!
What size tires are you on?
285/70 17
@@WanderlostOverland thanks, I think it looks doable in my Wrangler on 265/70R17s.
No snorkel yet?
Nope, not yet
Who's the new girl with you this time?
That's out daughter Karis.
Check email please.
