    This was Messi in his prime, When he destroyed Brasill a couple days after this session. I would tell him and the rest that they would reach the World cup final and that Higuain has to be composed when 1 vs 1 with Neuer.

    The pros going fast as sh*t and every touch is perfect. At 18 you can't even comprehend this, let alone learn from it. They should do like U22 for this, after some NCAA experience and heavy conditioning and daily training. More to learn from that.

    • @tinchothegreat3743
      @tinchothegreat3743 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry, but you are entirely wrong. This benefits 18 year olds a lot more because they don't have a lot of experience. The more experience you have, the less likely you are to change your ways.

    • @joelthomas9
      @joelthomas9 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You learn that by playing street football from 6 years old , then canalise it to keep it collective and efficient, but you need first that touch , feeling on the ball , something you don’t teach ...

      @chris_breezy4961 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joelthomas9 not necessarily but definitely helps just as futsal does too. You can be taught what you said, doesn’t have to be through street football. Some players have that IQ and sole ability as other players don’t.

    • @chris_breezy4961
      @chris_breezy4961 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joelthomas9 lol I’m from South America where dribbling and playing street football is the norm. Plus I’m an agent and I have 2 players going to Italy to be scouted from the U.S. Read what I said, you don’t HAVE to learn street football/futsal but it HELPS. You can learn a lot on tight spaces, quick touch, ball control, and quick thinking playing street. Not everyone does because you can still train without it, it’s mainly used like you said in a poor environment/community. I’d always recommend players to play futsal for those benefits but playing street soccer doesn’t mean you’ll be a better player. It’s about the competition level and how well you can adapt. Like I said I didn’t disagree with what you said but teaching the attributes of first touch, ball control, etc... can still be taught without playing street football. Feeling the ball like you said isn’t a thing, feeling the intensity of the game, the atmosphere, the energy...The problem you have is having a tunnel vision on what qualifies of having great technique. The beautiful thing about this sport is theirs more than one way of learning. It’s not strict bound by one way or one thing, it’s a multitude of opportunities and understanding but that doesn’t make one way wrong. Just like theirs more than one way to become a pro, some ppl go through academy, some through combines, some get drafted, and some get loaned/bought through clubs or through divisions. Same goes for training, theirs no set way but any any of them can help you reach your potential if you do train right. You can play street football all you want but it only takes you far enough, 11v11 is a different game. Theirs a lot of great street ballers but you can only put of few of that on the pitch, you still have more space, longer strides, more aggressive opponents, higher intensity, weather condition, field condition, pace, tactics... but you also need experience and proper training to get better at it.

    What I am most impressed by is that they don't just let those boys win like the top female players do. The women purposely hold back to avoid getting injured before more important matches, but despite the huge risks, Argentina still played hard enough to beat these boys. And in doing so, they taught them an important lesson about what it is like to play against a top level team. You don't learn as much when your opponent just purposely throws the match and lets you win.

    " Over the years the story will evolve and it will be at the world cup arena! lol

      19yr old Messi played against the physicality of the premier league you’ll just tickle him

      There’s no way these kids can even touch him. Guy faces the toughest defenders in Europe, and he’s so fast and so light that there’s 0 chance.

    This is why soccer in the US never will be a winning sport. Even unwillingly US soccer showed it’s arrogance in this small episode by putting their coach and their players in the middle instead of Argentinian coach and superstars players.
    Things never change. They simply do not get it.

      Or maybe it's easier to get camera time with four Americans who work for you than the Spanish-speaking superstars who just want to get their training done.
      Plus what's a better interview: "Holy s_! I just had the best day of my life!" or "Yeah I guess we just destroyed some teenagers."

    an u18 team from a country that call the sport soccer vs argentina, playing indoors on probably fake grass, everything is wrong here.

      Messi and most of the South American players grew up playing on dirt fields with rocks on them and with a ´ball´ of dubious roundness. So them playing in a perfect field with a professional ball it´s like the easiest thing in the world. Those US academies with all the cones, and gear, and facilities, all they do is to hur the development of the players... it’s no secret why the best players in the world come from poor neighborhoods in South America.
