I have been a Mll fan since 76 when the "Cobra ll" came out. I was 11 years old. I bought my ll in 1983. (See my profile picture). I have turned every bolt on it I believe. Fun cars. My 78 came with the 302 and a 4-speed with the T-top roof. I still have it but it is no longer stock and currently under primer. Not many Mustang guys cared for the ll but this car is what saved the Mustang. Enjoy the ride buddy.
At 66 I just bought a low mile 2011 Vette Grand Sport….and honestly, this car brings back more memories and puts a smile on my face just looking at it. Beautiful car Kid!😊
Nice car. I just saw dozens of Mustang IIs this past weekend at Mustang Alley at the Woodward Dream Cruise and at the Mustang Memories show the next day at the Ford World Headquarters. They had so many different ones. A couple convertible Mustang IIs, one with a 671 blower, a few with 351 Cleveland power, a couple Monroe project cars. It was awesome. I will upload the videos of the Mustang II verts to my channel.
Thank you, we just got it to run and idle by itself. Going to try to take it to a local car this Sunday. Only a few blocks from my house. Still can’t find the leak in the brake line but should hold enough pressure there and back
Just under 3000 dollars wow the motor and trans is worth more than that by the looks of them clean man.Yup you can not pass that up good buy hope you enjoy her.
Definitely am going to! Just spent an entire day getting all the interior pieces except carpet to be able to put the whole inside of the car together! Got 2 seats that need upholstery but that’s later for winter. Can’t wait to drive it!
I love these kinds of Mustangs with the 302’s and this one is bad ass and for 3 grand that’s a steal but I like my cars loud I have flow master 10’s on both mine Z28 Camaro and Challenger Hemi they sound like beasts iv been wanting a snowmobile for a long time but I live far away or I would buy one
At least you have something to work with. I had a 77 Ghia coupe 302 auto. Ran like a skallded dog. Nice little car. Watch out for the "auxiliary" plastic tank by the filler neck. I found out about it the hard way. It was on the V8 models.. I miss mine. Get rid of that garbage shifter and the seat, but have fun !!!! Lucky Guy !!!
got a great idea, keep the original shell, just take out the 77 mustang engine corbra out and put the current one in and tweek super louder then loud let the world be confused,
We are thinking possibly a bad lifter or out of balance lifter. Going to check it this coming up week or so to see if we can diagnose the ticking issue
I love it, I was 9 years old when this came out and was my favorite car. Always wanted one , that's a nice one.

Thank you!! And those 2011 body style corvettes are my favorite
Nice Mustang II I always thought these were a cool design.
Thank you
My buddy in the Army at Fort Hood Texas had one like yours and it was pretty sweet.
That’s awesome! We are currently rebuilding the engine. Getting some extra horse power out of it

We have a full original interior coming for it. And plan on doing something with the shifter as well
Great car . There made to run hard
The green stripes are the rare cobra 2 hard to find color combo bit a nice car
That’s what everyone’s been telling me
Nice find that's more of a rare car than that 1993 mustang 🐎
Sure definitely is
@@BraidenSlagle yep my oldest brother had one and it was a stick Gray and Red
got a great idea, keep the original shell, just take out the 77 mustang engine corbra out and put the current one in and tweek super louder then loud let the world be confused,
Haha that would be an idea
Go like stink. Friend in HS got a yellow one in 78. Thing went like stink
Nice Mustang, about the engine....if it's from a '79 Mustang it may not be a 302, could be a 255 ci
The ticking is probably a bad exhaust gasket, maybe a cracked manifold, the 70s and 80s were known for it.
We are thinking possibly a bad lifter or out of balance lifter. Going to check it this coming up week or so to see if we can diagnose the ticking issue
These mustang 2s got a lot of shit but they are not bad looking rides if fixed up right. I'd sport it👍🐎
It’s pretty badass looking. Better than my 93’ Mustang haha
Damn 3k you stole it...
That’s what I was saying when we bought it
Show the under side if its not rusty? Kind of a weird looking car
I thought I showed a bit of it?
@BraidenSlagle I watched again and ya you did for a couple seconds
@@MidnightPolaris800 yeah, basically like that through the whole car. One spot by the drivers side but that’s it
@@BraidenSlagle looks clean buddy
looks like a pinto with mustang ii shepp clothing on it...
Haha, yeah they definitely had a unique body style similar to other vehicles
Research it....other than a few suspension parts it was very unlike the pinto.
Nah keep the Holly on there
It’s an ellbroke on there lol, gotta get a holly for it
Holly for performance and edlabrock for reliability that's what I have on my 1969 cougar and on my 1980 Z28 I have a Holly 650 double pumper
