To preserve the car for long term, you would have to treat it like the the aircraft people do. Of course this only applies to engines on aircraft. Remove all the the fuel, plumb in a separate preservation oil type fluid, crank the engine to coat all surfaces with preservative, drain all the oils and fluids, wrap everything in plastic with enough silica gel packets to absorb any humidity, and finally, have humidity monitors in the sealed area. Then monitor at least once a month in a dry environment of more if the humidity is higher. If the humidity indicators go up, replace the silica gel packs with new ones. Somewhere, there's a place that has cars wrapped in bubbles to preserve them.
