No of course he wasn't. It's a complete pack of lies. No way will arbitration do him any good, he signed a contract less 2 years prior. This is going to result in a Newcastle win and Cashworth may even get a ban , so good luck with him when you eventually pay the money of course, cos if you don't he will end up at Chelsea......flower show !

Chelsea sporting directors are on an agreed rotational basis established at the takeover. For everyone's sake, this needs to be resolved ASAP. Newcastle won't want this dragging on into June either, as it'll impact their summer as much as United's as far as transfer dealings are concerned. They'll need to go sign his replacement, and can't do that whilst he's still an employee.

This dragging on only actually impacts ManU as you want Ashworth to start working for you now and financially we hold the cards as he is under contract with a pre agreed clause
Dan Ashworth has been caught out and hes getting desperate, we clearly didnt sack him otherwise we wouldnt be paying him, as an employer you can place someone on gardening leave if you feel it necessary, his arguments have hold no ground

So Newcastle would just be messing with an employee of theirs for an email he sent to an employee of Manchester City about a job at United which could easily wash their hands off it and go elsewhere or let Newcastle argue Semantics but it still remains said employee has another job lined up after being placed on Gardening leave prematurely. At the end of the day I feel Newcastle would have to compromise or settlement for less the courts I do not think can force United to do anything. And whether or not Newcastle as a football club is richer than United is not even a debate. You have richer owners but you're not richer than United. And if it comes down to an endless litigation both parties are rich enough to just keep it going forever.

Manchester United are suggesting to pay just 14% of the remaining of the contract. It’s not so strange that this is being played out in public. Journalists/Media getting hold of a negative Man Utd story must make some of them froth at the mouth. Negative United press sells!
It is naive from Ashworth and maybe even clumsy from Berrada. It would be nice to get an end to this seemingly neverending drama. The off-the-pitch version of De Jong saga. It would be the final piece of the jigsaw.

This "story" has been deliberately leaked from Utd so that Newcastle end up with £0. Nothing negative about it for Utd in any way
