James Horner didn't just create an epic soundtrack for a fantastic film. He created the greatest soundtrack of all time. This truly is a fantastic experience to listen to and it's the only soundtrack that has ever brought me tears back in 95 in the cinema. Truly epic score for a truly epic film. It is an absolute travisty that it never won best Soundtrack!! Rest In Peace you fantastic composer!
The whole score sheet is absolutely incredible. It will go down in music history as one of the best. It is as good as any Brahms or Dvorak A true masterpiece.
I remember watching this movie one night on cable. By the end, i was crying my eyes out. Such an emotional film with an excellent soundtrack. Went and bought the movie the next day.. have probably watched it over a hundred times
57yo and this instantly transports me to my young, romantic dreams ... and THIS film had it all. The 1st key on this soundtrack instantly takes me to the first scene ... the community, the young love, the innocence ... dang it; now I've gotta go queue the flick. In the words of William Wallace, "Every man dies, not every man really lives."
I still remember going to see this masterpiece in theaters with my father, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Rewatched it countless time, Mel Gibson at its best.
I remember being in the theatre with my sister for this one, too. I've lost track on the amount of times I've seen it, but my now 20 yo son loves it, too. I have and still find this to be one of the best soundtracks EVER!

Had no idea he died until I seen this! Seriously he died in 2015…. Feel bad not knowing he passed away, he was one of the greats. Apart from gladiator no other sound track even makes the movie

Crazy to think about it people fighting to be free many have died to just to be free men dying is easy in this world living is the hard part . Rip to all who just wanted to live free men and women.
Grew up with this movie and it's still one of my favorite of all time. Kind of like Lord of the Rings, the movie is twice as great *because* of how absolutely breathtaking the soundtrack is. Keep coming back for it and it still makes me tear up, being a kid watching this film and what it means to me now.
Reminds me of driving through Glenn Coe on a rainy afternoon on the way to Loch Ness and makes me miss Scotland but happy at the same time 😊🏴🏴Steve
one of the top five movies of all time. the timeless tale of a man that sparked a rebellion and became the leader of his people in their fight against their cruel oppressors, the story of a man that dared to believe, and a people that dared to fight for something greater than themselves.
With this Epic undertaking of a wide and expansive historical tale of SCOTLAND is just a masterpiece of movie making and production. Not only was the direction of the film correct , the dialog and movement of the Symphony Orchestra (~ James Horner ~) correct , it made all of us watching Braveheart wince with anticipation wanting more! EPIC ~~ applause ~~ BRAVE~HEART THE MOVIE with a Symphony Orchestra, such depth and feel GIVEN TO THE SOUND TRACK. Watch the movie and then you want the Soundtrack of Braveheart!

That's true. There is a magic touch at the last scene of the movie when William Wallace is going to get murdered. Like the creators of the movie pushed the crying button. There are not so many movies that could do it.
El maestro James Horner lucho como un caballero, consiguió la iluminación, la transmutación con esta su mejor obra como composición musical, y gano su libertad !! QEPD
This should've been Horner's Oscar, especially over the victorious but instantly forgettable Il Postino score. The Weinstein Machine definitely padded some Academy pockets for THAT win.
