And this is what Prof. Tolkien, in my opionion, wanted to teach us: kindness, love, loyalty, friendship. These "small" things can defeat even the most dreadfull horror. Because, it is not "only a great power that can hold evil in check [...] but the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love", also among different races. And this is the biggest teaching we could ever learn, if only we chose to learn it.

The music from The Hobbit Trilogy is so criminally underrated. So many LotR fans will never know what they're missing by not experiencing these 3 scores Howard Shore gave us.
Exactly, though people may hate the movies you cannot deny the score is fabulous, I personally love the score from the first the best; the misty mountain theme weaving in and out the whole movie is great.
@@andyhood1948 I am a massive Tolkien fan, and there are some brilliant fan edit versions of the Hobbit out there which extract the good parts of the PJ trilogy and stay true to Tolkien’s magic.

What annoyed me was that the theme for the 1st movie (that Dwarven theme) wasn't used in the 2nd or 3rd film...

I remember when i was 7 my dad had lord of the rings books and one day he found me looking to the map of middle earth what was in end of the book.I asked my father what it was and he said that one day i will know when im older.When i was 13 he told me to read all lotr books and i said yes, but i didnt read them.When i was 17 he died and i found The books in his workroom.I took them and read the first book.I loved IT.Then The lord of The rings first movie came out and i went to theather with My Brother to watch IT and i LOVED IT SO MUCH.Since then i have Been a big fan of tolkiens bookd

Ok, every soundtrack from LotR and Hobbit is a masterpiece, but I still can't get over how emotional and majestic "the Forest River" is at 14:00, extra chills every time, awh God.
I always loved Tolkien's books, and when the trilogy came out as movie, I felt that it has changed my life forever.
Now, almost 20 years ago, and in this difficult time of isolation and quarantine the movies are my biggest comfort ever.
I play this video every morning, as soon as I get up, making breakfast and coffee and doing usual routine. The music takes me away from here, from the pain and from the isolation, to some better place. I dream about Shire every night. Thank you all for the comments, and it's right , this channel is the most beautiful place where everyone feels at home. Greetings from Itay.

you can say whatever you want about the movies (i think Jackson did a good job), this music mix of 30 minutes flies by. It's so compelling and lovely to hear.

8 years since this came out and yet still the best movie (with lotr) and best soundtrack
Lotr was much better. Soundtrack for hobbit is weak. Hovard Shore wasn't paid enough or didn't want to work harder.
@@akinkinalexandr5672 exactly! The Lord of the rings had an extensive planning and Mr. Jackson had a broad and clear vision. LOTR was a highly ambitious project with a set of terrific actors, commendable editing, scenic (real) locations, perfect costumes. The trilogy actually transported us to Middle Earth, we loved every plot, every character. LOTR was, is and will forever remain a masterpiece. Now as far as The Hobbit franchise on the other hand, was messed up. Initially Peter Jackson didn't wish to take up the director's chair and only served as a scriptwriter. Some other director was scheduled to direct the hobbit and it was supposed to be a two part franchise. The director Guillermo Del Toro had a different vision and he planned to make the first film more like a fairytale and the second film was supposed to be inspired by LOTR in set design and would seamlessly transition into LOTR. Mr. Del Toro also wanted every actor from LOTR to be reprise their roles in the hobbit. However, the production houses faced severe financial problems and the shooting couldn't take off. Mr. Del Toro gave two years of his life for the films but nothing happened and so he left in the eleventh hour due to other commitments. After many negotiations, Peter Jackson had to assume the position of the director with reluctance. He didn't get any time for pre production and planning. He himself confessed that he wasn't satisfied with the films and he didn't know what he was doing while the filming took place. Thus, it was a complete mess. The hobbit faced several problems but Peter Jackson atleast did something so the films saw the daylight. Hence, LOTR is classic but hobbit is a great disappointment.
@@akinkinalexandr5672 I wouldn't call the soundtrack weak. The Dwarves, Smaug, Azog and Esgaroth/Lake Town had top tier tracks. Not as grand as Rohan or the Fellowship, but still top tier. And then you had subtle hints to the different themes like Gondor, Lothlorien, Rendell and the One Ring's theme. Don't forget, this is a prequel. While unlike the Star Wars prequels who's music trumped the OT, the Hobbit does have a really good soundtrack. Not weak at all

I am in love with this part of the soundtrack and I can just imagine thorin and the dwarves running into the final battle and it makes me feel undescribing amazing.
Tolkein's lore has shaped my life, with the amazing books then film adaptations, I love LoTR lore so much it really is the best entertainment even for these quarantine days

Courage and Wisdom is my favorite song of the trilogy. It includes parts of the Erebor/Dwarvish themes, as well as parts of Feast of Starlight. The part where Tauriel is grieving over the death of Kili always gets me..

It's good to be back at Middle Earth, the Shire, Rivendell, and go to an adventure again and again with the dwarves and meeting the elves again.....sigh! sigh! sigh! I sooo love The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. Sometimes I wish all are true (except off course for the orcs and Sauron and other bad things). It would really thrill me to death to meet King Thranduil and Thorin, Bilbo and Gandalf, and Aragorn and Legolas, Arwen and Galadriel, face to face!

Listening to this makes me super depressed and cheerful but like the kind of cheerful you feel when you feel the last memories of your childhood best friend and all the times you spent together but now hes gone and you kinda get slapped with a cold reality that life just passed you by and now you are on federal terror watch instead of playing with swords in the grass and woods without a care in the world.
