Great tips there. For me, my skin is sensitive, acne-prone, and oily. I apply litelextrra rice berry vitamin c face serum in the evening. It's great because it doesn't block my pores. I completed my first bottle of the serum a few weeks ago. It brightened my complexion. The results I'm getting are excellent.
I have been applying this riceberry serum for quite some time and its results are amazing. My face now looks clear and radiant. Additionally, it keeps my skin moisturized and gets easily absorbed into my skin, giving me a radiant and glowing appearance. I really enjoyed it.
I have tried both and prefer the CeraVe. I had a lot of skin sensitivity with the La Roche, even if I only used it every other day. I have not had any with the CeraVe.
I used la Roche posay is very good but if you use for long time u don’t see anymore the results The best Vitamin C for me is Vitamin C from murad the environmental shield the spray one it’s brightening the skin and giving a smooth skin it’s really good and excellent Try it and you will see
I agree! The orange color La Roche is the only thing holding me back. Great information! Would you want to do a video on moisturizers for sensitive skin? There is Cerve, La Roche, Roc, EltMD….so confusing. :) 😮
I suffered from adult acne. No single break out since using vit c la roche possay. Totally worth it! Yes it is expensive. But finally I have no pimple on my face and that feels good!!!
the CeraVe changed color and turned yellowish after one month. I continue to use it and no allergy found. I always store it in my bathroom's medicine cabinet, never exposed to sun light.
LRP Vitamin C saved my skin. i wish i was confident enough to try to find something at a better price that lasts longer. my skin in brighter, my acne is under control, and my PIH is under control with it. i luv her
CeraV gave acne outbreaks. Now that you mention it's potential to clog pores I am glad I fully understand why. I have been doing well with cheaper brands that have lower percentage.
I’m not an expert, but for dry skin I think is better cerave bc la roche posay has salicylic acid, and I made some research about it, and I found out that salicylic acid is not good for dry skin. I’m not sure tho.
Great video! Super informative. 🥰 Would you recommend using the Cerave vitamin C along with the olay regenerist retinol 24 fragrance free night cream? Also, should I apply the vitamin C night and day?
You would never use ascorbic acid (Vit C) with retinol. Hence you use retinol and night and Vit C in the day time. It’s also very important use use SPF in the morning.
Thankyou for posting your video. I just bought the roche posay after debating whether to get it or not get it. I liked the ingredients in it and actually store it in my drawer which is completely dark, I will use it and hope to get good results...thanks.
I just found it strange that so many people complain about the fragrance but L did absolutely nothing, did it care? As to the droppers, most of the products do that, not just L.
la roche Posay Vit C turns yellow into orange and by 3 weeks become thick orange. Not the best packaging. It also has strong fragrance, if you sensitive with fragrance better skip it. While buying it I have free 10ml small bottle. different from the 30ml, the free gift 10ml bottle has a very strong flowery smell like you spray perfume on your face. Effectiveness on my face = I dont know! I didnt see the difference! Sorry, LRP, I use your other products (HAserum, facial wash, lotion, soap, Cica) but for your vit C I have to put it away.
Awesome comparison! I have La Roche Posay products and they’re wonderful. Pricey but definitely worth it. I do have a question, since oxidation can take place how can this can be preserved? Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing almost every day interesting stuff. The first thing I use every morning after washing my face is Vitamin C. Lately every other night I am on Tretinoin 0.025% and after applying 3-4 days my face got puffy.I google it and said that puffiness means you are alergic to tretinoin! I like to hear your thought .Stop waiting for a week and then start using Retinol? Thsnks for your answer!
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, normally face swelling is an allergic reaction. Burning, itching, crusting, or peeling are to be expected during the tretinoin purging period. Best to speak to your dermatologist so they can see it more carefully. Have you had the same experience with retinol?
@@ArsalanAspires No I was using Retinol with no problem...so I thought Tretinoin was not that bad. I started with 0.025%.Thanks I will give my self a break for ten days and go back to Retinol.Thank you so much!🥰
How is the La Roche Posay one "great packaging" ??? The glass is transparent so light goes through, it has a dropper instead of a pump or cream-style packaging like CeraVe so every time you use it the product inside comes into contact with air, and the dropper is literally OUTSIDE the product upon purchase...
I used La Roche vitamin C for 3 months and did not see any difference; my dermatologist suggested I try Cerave, I began yesterday, I hope it makes a change!
@@the_it_dude Hi! I’ve seen lots of changes but I’m not really sure if it was the vitamin c. Because I also add glycolic acid to my routine and a new toner. If you want to know: - High Potency Glycolic Acid - Neostrata and Toner- Normaderm Vichy.
Thank you very much, Dr. Arsalan, for your expertise and knowledge. I am about to buy the serums. But I am not sure which one is better, between LA ROCHE POSAY SERUM and VIBRIANCE SUPER C SERUM. Hopefully, you can please help suggest one of the above serum for women over 60+ . Thank you so much. Already subscribed and thumbs up every time I see you!😊 Love all your videos.❤🎉
Thank you mostly for being here! I am grateful for your support. To be honest, I think they both may suffice. It really depends on how your skin will tolerate them. What may help to decide, is wait about 3 weeks to see any changes. If there are no changes, some vitamin c serums can take up to 3 months before any noticeable improvements. So as long as no irritation occurs, be the judge at the 3 month mark. I hope this helps!
Thank you for the comparison. I'm a huge fan of La Roche Posay and just ordered their vitamin c serum prior to watching your video. The combo HAs, Glycerin, and Neurosensine appealed me more so than the vitamin c since I have very mild rosacea. You mentioned it takes 12 weeks to see results, so is that based on everyday use?
Thank you for sharing your feedback. It is valuable. Yes, routine usage for 12 weeks has yielded results for most users. Wishing wellness and success your way!
Hi Dr A, I have been using cerave vit C I have brown skin but it seems to darken the hyperpigmentation, Is it normal for it to darken before it gets rid of it?
As I have a benzoic acid and perubalsam allergy, I am always reading the ingredients before buying the products. Unfortunately i find little of no information about beauty products. Can you please make a topic about this?
I love the product but it oxidized easy and I stored it properly…I also bought the blue bottle this week, I will be more careful because it was so expensive….

6:06 I love la Roche Posay's serums. I use the vitamin c and B5 serum every night. Just wondering because of the B O Y C O tting if there is a better or equivalent product out there??.
How does water-soluble vitamin C absorb into the skin when it’s mixed in with water-proofing lipids? Are we even getting the benefits from the vitamin C portion? Or does it just sit on top of everything else that’s absorbed?
I can't not use olayproducts they dry my skin so bad and never products the same. So I am looking for skincare that will make my skin look radiant again because it looks dull and depressing for me. I am 62

I use many La Roche products I do like the scents they are very subtle.
La Roche is a better option
Great information! Thanks for the reminder to be patient as I'm a beginner of just two weeks using the Cerave Vitamin C..... 🤔
You got this!
one way keep LRP from oxidizing too fast is my second bottle I split half into the old bottle and reseal the new bottle and leave it until needed.
Wouldn't a Vitamin C serum with a oxygen free pump be better so it doesn't oxidize as quick?
Doctor i have heard that we shouldn’t use salicylic acid directly on face without moisturizer. Is that true? Can you please describe more thanks
CeraV gave acne outbreaks. Now that you mention it's potential to clog pores I am glad I fully understand why. I have been doing well with cheaper brands that have lower percentage.
Such as?
It didn't clog pores... this is why it's so popular with dermatologists. It also states it on their products

Thanks for the question. I would try storing it in a cool, dark space, most use fridges, which can help shelter it from oxidation.
Hope that helps! 🤞
@@ArsalanAspires if i put it in the fridge, but i take it out for an upcoming trip, will it go bad?
Store it inside a bag full with clothes that way it's okay
