I love it. This young man has a very good attitude. The materials would be firewood or useless to others which keeps his costs down, turning nothing into something useful. I never would have thought a person could make a business carving spoons. Fantastic, and he isn't afraid of competition. Hardly anything is hand made anymore. Keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing.
This was really well done and a nice surprise. Just startet out woodcarving my self, trying to go all norse in this troubled times. I never heard about this guy, but man he makes some beautiful art. And so glad to see he only use wood laying around. It kinda kills the whole idea you need a certain wood type to make fine art. Thank you. Keep rocking mate. Cheers from Norway
Really well done Shaun! 😌 This is so nicely shot, lovely imagery - and it's really interesting to get a little intimate look into the workshops of craftspeople. Keep going!! ✨
Well done video. Spoon carving is a wonderful pastime. I find I use a curved chisel more than a spoon knife to carve out the bowl but each person has a preference. I just saw one video of a spoon carver (might have been in Turkey) who uses a curved adze to do the whole spoon. Look forward to seeing more of Éamonn's work.
Great project! Subscribed for future updates. Like one of the comments below, maybe showing a bit more of the actual workmanship and less of just face interviewing would be nicer. Best of luck on future videos!

Thank you, that's much appreciated! :)
you're right if everyone made spoons the world would be a lot nicer place.
Nice video, but I sure got tired of looking at that guy's face. I wish you had shown a lot more of the crafting process while listening to the him.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback, I'll keep that in mind in future episodes!
