Our family has been farming in the area for over 140 years (4 generations).
On the current family farm of 600 acres (242 hectares) situated in Southern Victoria, Australia, expect to see farming as it would have been done during the 1970/80's with farming equipment like the Massey Ferguson 3505 and 135 tractors, John Deere 955 (Combine Harvester) as well as sowing and tillage implements of the same era and the new addition of the John Deere 6310 tractor.
Our family also runs stock such as Dohne sheep and Angus cattle.
My mechanical videos can vary from How-To's, working on my 79 Series Toyota Landcruiser and repairing farm machinery.

Hey cam, always start it full throttle and with the choke on(don’t turn the choke off instantly let it run for 5-10 seconds), clean the contacts on the coil and the flywheel(make sure it’s a business card gap between the coil and the flywheel) because you have spark but it might be to weak, pull the full tank off and clean it(these engines accumulate water in the fuel tank when they sit outside for a while because the cap isn’t sealed on top of the tank), check your fuel lines are clean, and to diagnose fuel problems keep spraying the aero start down the carby, if it keeps running your not getting fuel to the cylinder. We work on and with a range of these engines on our farm and hope this helps. 👍

Check the exhaust isn't blocked. Possibly full of mud wasp nest or the spark arrestor filter is completely blocked
Hey mate. check the valve clearance they should be 006" inlet and 008" exhaust or a broken rocker arm seen a few of these engines that have done alot of hours.

Awesome as cam ..hey cam u can leave the oil wirer switch disconnected@ & should firer up the motor .. just need to check oil when u used it 👍.. iv been busy making TH-cam videos 👍🇦🇺🍺🥘🥧⚙️⚙️🇦🇺 iv got a Stationary engine in my quad bike it’s on my TH-cam channel.. I’ll help ya

Maybe dirty filter blow back with air
All the electrics do is short the coil out. It'll run with it all disconnected. My guess looking at the state of it....water in the fuel.

Hey Cam, the governor is there to maintain revs when the engine is under varying loads just like your lawnmower so maybe put it back where it was. Definitely a fuel restriction issue, blocked fuel filter, fuel tap or fuel line, is the spark plug getting wet? Also some engines rely the air filter to provide a vacuum in the carb to draw up fuel, maybe try that and put a little fuel in through spark plug

It has fuel getting to the carby fuel line flows strong and I had a go with the air filter on too. I might try putting some fuel in through the spark plug though thanks for the suggestions .
Gas tank no fuel from tank

The governor opens we up when loaded. I have a 4 inch pump with a similar motor and the governor doesn't work. So I disconnected it and replaced it with a 2mm welding rod and a cable tie to hold the throttle open so It would run. It appears the governor is in the crankcase as far as I can see.
Yeah from what iv seen I think it is too
