Thank you all for a wonderful arrangement and performance. Our church quintet played this one last night. We're definitely not pros, but we think we did well. Looking forward to seeing what else we can work up from the Matonizz library.
Thank you for your kind comment friend! Drew is fantastic at making quintet arrangements. Truly appreciate you using our service and supporting our work. Best wishes, Matonizz
This is a beautiful song to play right now and I appreciate it very, very much. So smooth and calming. Thanks. All of you and your families have a wonderful and blessed Christmas and New Year.
Great arrangement! Would you be able to do a version with Euphonium and Flugelhorn substituting for trombone and trumpet? It probably sounds better with this instrumentation, given that the piece is meant to have a very triumphant sound, but still!
Of course, all reasonable substitute parts are included in the arrangement... I mean, for example, the horn line has substitute parts for Bb flugel, Eb horn, trombone, and euphonium/baritone T.C./B.C. There are substitute parts for trombone as well. You could play it on euph, but as you mention, it would have less impact. Same with the flugelhorn question. Of course, more or less anything playable by trumpet is playable by cornet or flugel., but each piece tends to have a best or at least somewhat better choice.
Ha, I just glanced at your message and realize I didn't read it right. At this point, it's unlikely we'd do another version with flugels and euphonium, for the reasons you suggest and because of cost, in both time and cash. It may surprise you to know how much time is involved in each of these recordings. It's a lot. So we have to manage what we do to to some extent--and most times, we move on to the next project pretty quickly. (It's quite a bit easier to just record a solo piece with piano on alternate instruments, and I'd always try to accommodate requests, but it's less practical to "reinvent the wheel" on a larger scale.
Thank you all for a wonderful arrangement and performance.
