Can't wait for TR, my favourite app, to roll this out to Wahoo devices. Would love to be able to start using this feature on my new Bolt. Thanks for the review!
Have tried it. Promising. Workout screen a bit of a struggle for eyes on the 520. Custom 4 field display better. I'd recommend creating a separate activity profile e.g. 'Workout' and add the custom 4 field screen to that only. Also, turn off workout alerts on that profile, otherwise you'll be bombarded by intrusive alerts e.g. 'low power' on rolling terrain.
Do the outdoor workouts require a power meter, our does it estimate like indoors? I have TR and I use a wheel on trainer indoors, with no power meter, I've been hesitant to try outside on my Edge 530.
Have you taken TrainerRoad outside yet?

Brilliant video. Thank you 👍🏼
Hey bud. How do you get the TrainerRoad data screen on your head unit dude 🤙
Hi. Great video! Can I use garmin indoor to do workouts from TrainerRoad?
You should be able to. And your Garmin Edge should be able to control your smart trainer if you pair it as a trainer.

Good point on the alerts. They can be annoying for sure.
How does it work with the Edge 520

Without a powermeters, your only other option is heart rate. TR doesn’t estimate power outdoors.
Has "time to go" changed? I can't seem to find it. Just timer, elapsed time and lap time. Aren't these all the same?
