The ANTT-Approach (to achieving asepsis)
‘The ANTT-Approach involves the application to the clinical practice of the Principles and Safeguards set out in the ANTT Clinical Practice Framework.
This approach is based upon the premise that safe aseptic technique is most effectively applied in a systematic and standardized manner, that is identifiable and easily auditable. With an improved appreciation of the risks of bacterial transference, healthcare workers are trained to address the risks posed by the environment and themselves, by applying the ANTT Principles and Safeguards routinely to ensure asepsis of Key-Parts and Key-Sites.
