Thanks so much sir. A week ago I did my OSCE and I got ANTT when I opened the pack the sterile gloves were on top of the orange bag . If I had not watched this video I don't know what I would have done because there was no forceps. Thanks so much because of you I passed my OSCE exam first attempt. Thanks so so much

Very good video. I noticed you were not aseptic when dealing with gloves, not the squeezing but the touching non sterile with sterile. You can argue it is ok since the first glove is sterile but I’m not sure

Please,may I ask about providing privacy? Usually it's safety check ,then providing privacy but sometimes we see provision of privacy after preparation of materials for use.Getting confused 😕 but I understand hand hygiene is neccessitatated if done in an unusual manner and gloving of the hands ✋️🤚 should be just before commencing a procedure on a pt ensuring sterility where need be.😊

Yes you can do before commencing the procedure. Please note privacy has to be given before exposing the patient. In this case before exposing patients wound. In OSCE they are not too strict with the procedure privacy for ANTT hence not to worry much.

I can’t fit medium gloves ( sterile) so I use XL ( sterile gloves) where I have to keep the gloves , I can put in the sterile pack or I need to clean an extra trolley to keep the gloves can you pls reply me

You open the sterile gloves into the sterile pack immediately after opening saline & dressing
Then alcogel, bring the sleeve of the glove to the corner and carefully wear the gloves ensuring you don’t touch the sterile field with bear hand, you can touch only the inside of the glove sleeve…

You need open the sterile gloves into the sterile field, immediately after opening pack. Then alcogel use orange bag to re arrange things and sterile gloves - open sterile glove paper sleeve …..

You don’t need to wear face mask for OSCE also in UK we don’t regularly wear face mask for wound dressing. Unless patient has been isolated to have infection.
