Due to time of install, i did not mention that pin 3 ,xb, of si5351 was cut loose from crystal as well.ground for ocxo bd.was ran through si5351 board, into pins in radio board ground(at old pll location)
There seems to be some V2 Si5351 boards on Ali Express that have the clock input available as an SMA connector. Saves some modification perhaps. Apparently you can drive it with a range of frequencies beyond the manufacturer specification as long as it's stable. I'd be tempted to use the BNC connector on the back of the radio as a GPSDO input. If I try to link to the board directly my post gets deleted. You might try some digging there though.
Hey😃,huh.. clock as sma? Havent seen.i scanned hundreds of them on ebay.they were all 5351a chips.thanks for tip,ill check on ali. i did find one person only selling a 5351b version installed on bd.,its has voltage control input.i questioned them about "c" version but they couldnt offer.i could never solder the "c"version(qfn 16 or qfn20)with clock input. my magnifiers or iron wouldnt cut it.thats why i decided to just re-feed the "a" chip.(no mircoscope required, well not really😅).i had my doubts but it still appears ok.one thing for sure, less than 2 minutes after u power up,its on freq.😃😃.you could run a gps reference oscillator into back for sure.they say these are 25/27 mhz.for clocks.not sure on much else😁.these things killed or are still killing me.😅theres another aspect to this install(per the papers) thats not right at all.thats the feed point to radios vco.i think whoever came up with the "attach point" should be shunned by all.lol.it works yes, but its not right!!best wishes,im taking a break.ps..ocxo was 65$.😄😃

@@generalingwer4341 Google Search
"si5351 V2 version supports external clock input"
TH-cam is very picky about entering that. Google is how I found it. It doesn't list in the Ali search.
@@keyboarderror1 yup.lol.youtube is prejudice.i see it all the time....😅😅😅
