Cyberpunk 2077 Soundtrack - Scavenger Hunt Techno (EurocorpFx 2020 Remake)

- Hey guys! I'm back with another Cyberpunk 2077 upload. Last year I created a remake from a music sequence within the first gameplay demo from Cyberpunk. I simply chose to do a new one because I wanted to come as close as possible to Marcin Przybyłowiczs production. At the time after the first gameplay demo has been released I was only able to recreate something based on the short cue that is playing in the background but now after several announcements that contain versions of the track it is way simpler to make something that almost sounds like the official one. So I began to collect all the cues that have been used in trailers, gameplay videos and announcements and tried to combine it with my own creations.

I think the reason that synthwave is associated with cyberpunk is that the cyberpunk genre itself was originally from around the 80s, during which time synth was popular/thought of as futuristic. So I think that's why people associate synth with cyberpunk, because they're both related to that period, however, the game doesn't have synthwave music.
Yeah, it changes the scav loud theme from "I've been made." to "YOU'RE FUCKED."
@@brendanr1525 i think its also because new cyberpunk is very gritty and brutal, so hard hitting techno fits the aesthetic.
@@brendanr1525 it's mostly because the genre aesthetic relies on the 80's vision of the future (retrofuturism), tbh the game not having synthwave was actually a big W point.
it's actually pretty ironic how synthwave is so much tied with cyberpunk culture when what actually sparkled the genre was GTA Vice City lmao

3 years later and I found it. Recently started playing Cyberpunk for the first time and this song is freatured in one of the first missions we get to play. So glad I found and you made it. Keep it up!

This version is forever part of the collective Cyberpunk 2077 experience.
I love the feeling of planned violence this elicits when i think of the game. It was such a great outlet for me during the COVID lockdown. This tune gives me smiley gamer memories.

I can just imagine how the prior song transitions into this one, as some of the rough men in the club decide to size you up, either due to some mistake on your part, or because they were in the mood for a fight. And you fell in their sights.
I was doing a side job in Dogtown and after blasting a scav to bits I realized this song was playing! First time I’d heard it since the opening mission with the Jackster

Man! Cyberpunk could of had a better soundtrack by adding Darksynth wave, hard trance and EBM to give it that dark feel to the game.

Not trying to shit on anything , it's just personal taste so I really like the other one better, it has a eastern/european techno vibe to it with cleaner deeper bass, this sound too electronic and shallow.
I think I got your point. The other one sounds way more industrial. This one is dedicated to the original and sounds really artificial.

Fuck yeah! I said it on your last video - I will say it here: *Great work choomba!* This song just defined my expectation for cyberpunk - idk why exactly. Something about the mission, the trailer and the music - it just clicked and I was hooked.
Edit: This one is clearly more upbeat, more "crowded" so to speak. Both are unique, and strangely resemble each other. I can't pick a favorite. I especially like the part from 02:30 onwards, cuz I distincly remember this one beat sequence from one of the "fucked up dex's mission" trailers =)

Ok this is the more remixed version, which is pretty cool on its own, but the original remake is so close to the ingame version which i loved. i think this one is better tho

I would love to see you do a remake off TBOGT pause menu music like you did with GTA V, I would find that interesting. But anyway great music remake you made here, kinda gives off that rush feeling in a mission, I still prefer the original, but still great work.

Damn, I'm annoyed they didn't include the upbeat version in the soundtrack. Not that the soft version they included isn't good, but I was hoping for the one from that mission. Hope they release more music, otherwise we'll have to hope someone can find the files and put all the musical cues together correctly. Shame that spiderbot track isn't in the soundtrack either.

Amazing work! Could you please also try to remake the Maelstrom combat theme? HEAD SPLITTER's version is quite inaccurate in relation to what we actually hear in the gameplay demo. There's like just a month left till the release of the game, but maybe you're up for the challenge.

Very cool. It has the ‘official’ sound, for sure. As others have mentioned, I prefer the original; it’s bigger, meaner, more euro-trash. I love the stomping purity and repetition of the main riff in it. It has the feel of huge party speakers booming from behind concrete walls.
But I also like the details you have added in here, making it fuller and more composed. Perhaps laying the bass kick and synth stab riff from the first version over elements of this would be my perfect mix ;)
