Priddy's General Store

Today we’ll do a walk through of Priddy’s General Store in Danbury, NC. We’ll step back in time to a place where little has changed in 80 years.
Priddy's is a third generation, family-owned general store. Built in 1888 and one of Stokes County’s historic landmarks, this store is packed with a little bit of everything from the past and present. The store has been owned and operated by the Priddy family since 1929. Like many stores of the era, it was more than a location to acquire the staples needed to survive, it provided news, entertainment and a sense of belonging to the community.
