- Aston Martin is on the comeback since Canadian Billionaire Lawrence Stroll invested heavily in the brand. The DB12 is essentially a facelift version of the DB11 but there are a lot of changes both on the surface and under the skin of this new model.
We take you through those changes as well as the areas where Aston Martin has paid particular attention to, including the interior and performance of the DB12. While the price tag might be eye-watering at R5 million before options, is it unique enough and does it pull at the heartstrings enough to attract buyers from Ferraris and Bentleys? Thanks Ashley for a really good, balanced review - reminds me of the first Aston I saw in the flesh, back in 1985 as an 18 year old on an object drawing assignment - a couple of us visited the Lindsay-Saker Porsche showroom in Smith St Durbs... But there was a brand new Vantage in Oxford blue with cream leather and navy blue piping... Surreal, especially for a Durbanite!!! I got to sit in it, but needless to say, they weren't about you allow an 18yo to drive the thing, even with my Mini GTS as collateral... Sigh...

Yhoooo Cape Town has the best mountain passes in our country. I must say this is the Ashley's review that I enjoyed the most on the channel. And all three of you guys (Jacob, Ciro & Ash) are the best in our country. About the car, the interior would be the main reason I'd buy the DB12. Other than that the DBS Superleggera still has my money.

If only I could drive it, but it seems that a Bentley Continental GT would offer more in the way of Luxury and the Aston Martin would lean more towards sporty driving (it is a couple hundred kgs lighter). Having said that, because of the engine, I would have to go Bentley with the W12 and Porsche's 8-Spd DCT, and then have the New Vantage as a sports car😅 (Lottery win pending...)
BTW, Ash has come such a long way from his first time presenting on this channel, great work man! 💪

A magnificent highly desirable car. The only drawback, and its a hhuge one. The crude unrefined exhaust noise is a deal breaker. Very un British. I would expect more for the price.

Hey guess what , an old db9 will still be fully functional and running in 30 years time , a db11 maybe but the 'electronics' may make it redundant as parts , NAMELY ELECTRONIC SCREENS AND TOYS , may be completely unavailable . A 2024 car of any nature , in 30 years will be in the crusher because the electronics would have failed and be unavailable . Aston will survive as they will continue to build proper cars in place of political toasters that sheep bleat after listening to their lying shepherds , the one world order who wish to kill them , the last time they failed in covid 19 !
