Dymchurch Level Crossing (Eastbridge Road Crossing)

Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway steam loco No.3 "Southern Maid" in RH&DR Green heads out of Dymchurch station toward Hythe just before Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway steam loco No.9 "Winston Churchill" in red heads into Dymchurch station, passing Southern Maid as it does so. After, Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway steam loco No.7 "Typhoon" in Malachite green also heads into Dymchurch station. Past Dymchurch is St Mary's Bay. This is the only double track crossing with the railway's own ABCL system and barriers as this was seen as not as much as a risk when the others were given SPX barriers after the RH&DR crashes of the noughties causing deaths. The alarm used to be non-existent, but now after the second train comes it is quite loud indeed. The borders on the lights here aren't that faded and they seem still in good condition. This is on the eastern side of Dymchurch, a (what I didn't realise) incredibly popular seaside town with an arcade and traffic jams galore during summer days. Still, this road doesn't seem to be used much, only mainly by old men on mobility scooters. There were hundreds of microscopic little bugs here, almost like fleas that kept getting stuck in my sun cream doused arms. One was even on the lens. He's dead now. Or she. I'm not sexist.

Yeah lol. It probably knows! It is a tough guy, because the barrier it used to be on, has been smashed of by a speeding car. It remained all functional! Pretty cool huh?
