The 100th video on my channel!
This is one of 13 crossings on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (RH&DR). There are 1970s halogen warning lights, along with barriers and alarms which were installed in the mid-2000s.
    Thanks For Watching!

This crossing's alarm sounds exactly like Ashford Bowdler's (louder) ATC alarm (for pitch wise). I bet you this crossing's alarm will sound very similar to Ashford Bowdler's normal alarm if it was in night mode!

Will Scriven These two pairs of alarms are quite common. They sound similar to the crossing at Maxey too. The alarms probably would just be quieter here if they had a night mode.

Actually, it just so happens that if a Yodalarm goes quieter, it goes lower pitch aswell and when they go louder, it goes higher pitched aswell. Seems weird but that's Yodalarm YO3s are like.

This is an ABCL or an AOCL+B. I'm not sure which.

***** I did think they were AOCL+Bs but on many websites, the crossings are listed as ABCLs

+Nathan A RF Yes. This crossing was the first one to have barriers. White lights were already used when the crossing was ungated. No telephones are used but a blue sign with railway contacts are used in case of a problem.
