  • In this episode of Backcountry College, we'll take a look at a few knots that every outdoorsmen should know. We'll set up a hammock with my canvas tarp and use the bowline, clove hitch, truckers hitch, and taught line hitch to do it.

That's cool. Never seen it before. I use a reg hammock and this would be good for when I might forget it or it breaks in some way. Good stuff.

Clay.. looks comfy. Those are very useful knots. There is nothing worse than trying to untie a knot that is cinched down so hard that you want to cut it.
    good stuff..Thanks for the video!

Nice video. Good variety of knots applied quickly to building a quick shelter using common materials. I like to see encouragement people to learn a set of knots and how they apply to different binding situations. They are tools that come in handy all of the time. The knot you described a a sheet bend was actually a slipped iteration of a loop/line square/reef knot. Regardless, for the light-duty guyline security that knot works just fine, too. Look forward to viewing your other videos.

Excellent Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Lammywalness Your Dream Guide (do a search on google)? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to get a a FREE Edt multitool survival tool without the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got cool results with it.
