I lost twice already but the game is nuts!! Its easy to get lost in this game for hours . Glad I found these vids. Couldnt even kill anything before I saw them
It can be hard to go on without a map for sure, I have been lost from my clan several times too haha. But when lost you just need to keep a stick or two with you, dont exhaust your ape or he/she will eventually die from stress. Keep an eye on how exhausted your ape is. (the circle should be big and green at all time, or you will have to slow down and eat red leafes and find water and sleep) Just give your clan some sticks, adventure with the old ones and learn som clan skills (like the skills for the clan to be able to defend/counterattack and dodging) I started over two or three times at first while learning, and now I have a clan where everything is pretty easy and there is always 6 kids aso. And I can go adventure alone for days while my clan is fine and can defend themselfes - but if a clan member gets hurt, then you need to help that ape (especially if they are bleeding) or they will die. Skills will help you along the way, just find good settlements (there is one in the jungle if you stick to the right side from the first settlement) and then go learn things alone and with one or two clan members (I always bring the elders as they will die anyway when you skip a generation) And each female can have two kids with their mate, thats the first thing you will want to do after skipping a generation. Have all females have two babies right away
If you skip generations don't forget to check up on the bones of the elders that died, doing so almost all the time gave me enough neuronal energy to fill up all the neurons that I couldn't reinforce for the generation skip immediately.
@@trapboyGAMINGAfter a while, you have to have babies before investigating the bones, or you won't get any neuronal energy. But if you skip a few generations after having 6 babies, you'll always have enough energy by scanning the bones to unlock every skill you couldn't reinforce. Reinforcement is only important for the first couple gen jumps. After that. You'll have plenty of bones to investigate that it literally won't matter. It's the games way of giving you back the skills you shouldn't have lost anyway, evolution doesn't just disappear as you evolve, that makes no sense. But they had to add some kind of difficulty to it, otherwise people would whine about it being too easy.
Omg, I thought it was critical to lock all skills before evolving 🤦♀️ so I am still in the first form, but have done and explored and killed almost everything hahahaha (except for the elephants/mammuts, havent seen those) Time to evolve I guess! Haha
before you get killed by a animal make a bed where you go it your save points alone in the wild and you can press pause go back to the main menu it will save you it has save me couples of times back to my old monkey.
Okay so, this is all really good info, I used it as my play style, but just to add something so everyone knows, as far an mutations go, the child becomes an adult, then an elder, if the elder dies however, you lose that mutation if you do not evolve then before then, so if an elder has a mutation you really want, you need to evolve in order to keep it, Iv been trying to start walking on 2 feet at all times, I got the mutation and my elder died and it went away because I did not know this
I guess they've made an update to since this video has been released. When I try to lock down a trait, it places a reinforcements on every dot on the line all the way out to the point where I try to lock it down. In other words, if I have 4 reinforcements and i click on the fourth dot out on the neuron line, it will use all four of my reinforcements. Mine does not act like the way you just portrayed in this video @ 1:28
His others on that line were reinforced already, that entire line has to stay connected so if you reinforce a dot above other dots not reinforced, it automatically reinforces them to keep the line conmected
I just bought this game. I was always fascinated with the concept of it. I have 2 kids and am taking it slow; watching vids trying to understand the process better. Thanks for the info this helped me understand when to evolve, but now I just want do some trial and error, mess around and see what this game is all about.
IMNSHO, the ideal scenario for a given generation seems to be to breed AND recruit a total of 3 fertile females, immediately sire 2 children apiece (optimally you want to maintain a related and a separate unrelated bloodline, because the former cannot inbreed), prioritizing people with beneficial mutant genes. TIP: For free and easy neuronal energy, grab 2 children and make the rounds of all your local dead ancestors and identify their corpses - with enuf bodies it will fully fill your meter. You can only do this once per generation per body, so dont miss out or squander the full benefit by doing it solo without kids. Also, dipping beehives seems to give free neuronal energy and health both (its an infinite node that never runs out). With the free neuronal energy you can connect any traits you unlock by training and discoveries, and with the max of 6 children you can reinforce 6 traits .... at which point you either Gen+ or Evolve. As for me - after about 6 generations in the starting area i've got a good chunk of the center of the traits tree done, ive got 6 children ready but only 3 new reinforcable traits ... and for me, THAT is going to force me to into me first evolution, because ive nearly exhausted the easy discoveries in the starting area, and thus it's hard to 'train' to unlock the remaining three new ones. If I were in a new zone, it'd be much faster to progress (i.e. unlock new neuron-traits for learning and reinforcement) because of all the new plants and animals and resources to discover and manipulate. BOTTOM LINE: choose gen+ if there's still plenty to discover, do, and learn in a given area - but once those things run low and it seems like there's nothing new nearby, choose Evolve instead.
Off topic, but last I checked, the consensus was that Sahelanthropus Tchadensis is more likely to be a close cousin of the human/chimp MRCA, than one of our actual ancestors. Interesting they chose to use that species here. Most likely it was chosen as a placeholder for the species that actually is ancestral to us from that time, of which there is no name or specimen discovered yet.
Don’t forget about genetic mutations that happen when having kids they become active once the child becomes a adult (generation skipping) then some only become active after the next evolutionary step (evolving) almost forgot u will need these genetic mutations to continue connecting neurons
BingeHD they happen when u mate, once the babies become adults that orange neurons become active. Now there’s some orange neurons that won’t activate until u evolve but the game will tell u what orange neuron will activate by evolving or babies becoming adults. The reinforcements just keep the neurons u already unlocked.
Should evolve when and only when your mutated kids reach adult hood, or when u have a bunch of mutated adults.. that’s the prime time to evolve. B/c then all their mutations lock in
The best time to evolve is when you have 6 adults with mutations and 6 elders, keep locking in skills first and skipping generations and then when you get blocked by needing mutations seek out a meteroite 1 per generation bring 6 kids with you, make sure to place them down on a sleep spot I think that's what locks in their mutations from the meteorite. then skip the generation do this for 2 generations, ensure what your trying to unlock has locked in skills for a better chance to unlock the mutations, so if you want to unlock bipedal, then first lock in skills related to it, then when you need mutations, seek out meteroite sites. a good way to protect your clan mates is ensure they have group defence before seeking them out, get this by practising defence skills/ hunting and locking in skills across generations, don't worry too much about losing mutations when swapping generations to lock in skills as they can be regained later by meteroite or natural chance when having kids. You'll more than likely reunlock something to do with bipedalism or scenses or communication ect by having the full set of mutated adults/ elders from meteroites.
breeding should be done as soon as possible. you won't gain xp unless you have babies. each new generation, the absolute first thing you do is make as many babies as you can. the more babies you have, the more chances for spontaneous mutations..you want to get as many mutations as you can each generation. Elder monkeys are good for exploration..but the goal is to have as many elders and adults as possible with random mutations. you don't want any babies around when you evolve because you supposedly lose those mutations. I tend to explore with elder monkeys with two babies being carried..once the xp bar is maxed out..I go and unlock and reinforce as many traits as I can. You also want to have done enough evolution feats to make evolving worth it, because you'll end up losing total gameplay time.
I'm still early on in my playthrough, but one thing ive noticed is that the 'wait here' command seems to conflict with ordinarily survival activities ... use it judiciously, and cancel it as soon as its no longer needed. One way to easily cancel it for any and all clan members is to select 'end expedition' from a bed. Something else ive noticed is that the AI doesnt see. to do a good job of getting apes to take shelter from the elements. Ive repeatedly spotted apes sitting in the rain and cold under a deep chill, with their health shrunk down to a tiny dot, close to death. I think the AI is to blame for the mystery deaths.
Does neuronal growth stop growing at a certain point in every generation? I’m able to do the various growth tasks and the icon at the bottom of the screen will light up but after a certain point it stops lighting up and makes me wonder if the growth has stopped. I’m not entirely sure I only have 1 memory of noticing that it a neuron sense can still grow even if the icon doesn’t light up, but I’m not entirely show.
Hi, this is 4 months late (and maybe you've figured it out, but just in case) but it might be because the neuronal energy circle thingy is full, once is full it stops lighting up. Well....no because eventually your primates will eventually become "family related" so you won't be able to make. Since having babies is the key to survival
the metorites give you an extra reinforcement point for every baby you have near it when you find it. so like 3 adults carrying 2 babies= 6 more points

TagBackTV is very very good and entertaining at this game, i watched his whole playthroughs and he was great.
Can you keep having baby's and skipping generations to keep getting more and more genetic mutations or should i skip a generation then evolve skip generation then evolve...
Well....no because eventually your primates will eventually become "family related" so you won't be able to make. Since having babies is the key to survival
Bruh how did I have 12 reinforcement points
the metorites give you an extra reinforcement point for every baby you have near it when you find it.
so like 3 adults carrying 2 babies= 6 more points
once upon a time in hollywood
I have 20 reinforcement and 5 little boys
how do i generation skip
Go to generation then reinforce all the nodes you want and then jump to the next gen
I love the concept of this game but the layout of the tech tree is a jumbled fucking mess
