Yeah I agree with u.. it depends on mic to mic. That's why there are diff mics for diff use like shotgun, lavalier usb mic etc... And this is best for voice overs, recording voice, meeting speech in crowded place, teaching and reciting where there is no background music involved... For ur usage I would say buy blue yeti that has different pattern of usage if u have the budget...
