The plug in that looks a lot like one of the drain plugs on the front and rear differential. Is there a crush washer with it too? It really does look just like one of those plugs.
How is that Amalie fluid working for you? I wonder because I hear good things about that brand but have never used any of their products. I know some private labeled store brand oils are really Amalie but it is just not immediately apparent. Sometimes you gotta look carefully at the label for any hints as to who really made it. I have a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport SV with the RE0F10D which seems to be the CVT 8. Also if you had a Jeep with a CVT you already had a very similar transmission or the same one. I am not sure how many brands are using these Jatco CVTs but I know they can be found anywhere these days.
I need your help with my 1977 Buick lesabre I know you worked on one before. Towards the front of the intake manifold I see and outlet with 2 hoses coming from them one has a hard line going somewhere under the engine the other which is the lower one I need help with where that goes. Maybe the charcoal canister?

Keep regular automatic transmission fluid away from these CVTs because it will ruin them. Just it being in the pan is not enough, you would have to operate the vehicle and then the incorrect fluid will damage it. Next thing you know it is time to spend $8000 or more for a transmission or a different vehicle. Some CVT fluids are red and I also hear that some ATFs come in blue and green too so don't go by fluid color alone. The only reason that concerns people is they want a supposedly better fluid and are afraid of their warranty being void if any incorrect fluid is in there.
