Pink and purple dining room? OMG Honestly, it looks like toddlers did that dining room. The deco looks like something on my fridge from my children.....but their artwork is better than that. UNBELIEVABLE

LOL that poor couple having to live with that dining room. As soon as the team leaves I would have had the paint brushes out and getting rid of that colour scheme. lol
They came across as good teams. They both seemed to go on the show for the right reasons... to have a laugh and a good time. They all seemed to know what they were in for. If there is anything you want untouched or think this show is about caring, don't go on Changing Rooms. Even so, I did actually feel for the owners of the dining room despite them taking it well and not "hating it". They were both good teams and they all deserved nice rooms as a result.

That so called designer should be fired .Absalutley disgraceful. I would have put my foot down as far as colours were concerned and refuse to do it.Lawerance did a beautiful job.
That female designer seems to be a strange person with awful tastes - full of herself, her decision only counts, she doesn't care about the client's wishes. I'd never call her to change my rooms, I'd end up suiting her... That dining room is just awful. Moreover, due to the narrow design of the room, they shouldn't have called that team, but a real builder team who'd knock the walls down and re-design a bigger room.
Her name is Laura McCree, and she is the absolute worst of all the designers. You nailed it--all she cares is about what SHE wants. I watched this show when it was originally on and she is responsible for more disasters than any other. I saw one episode where the homeowners didn't want their stairs painted, and she said "I don't have to pay attention to them--I can do what I want." The friend who were helping said, "Well then maybe you shouldn't have taken on this job." Her response was to act all hurt and say "That wasn't very nice of you." Yes, I'd cry if she was chosen to do my house.
I always used to groan when she was announced as one of the designers because I knew that she, like always, would be arrogant, full of herself, rude and uncaring. She did what she wanted to do and screw you if you disagreed. A designer should listen to their client and follow their desires. She never did. Awful woman, couldn't stand her.
If Barbie threw up. A lot. On top of it, the paint was sloppy, not even a professional looking paint job. I'd have punched someone in the throat for the pink floor.

Laurence's designs did become a bit less flamboyant in later series' I think.
