Absolutely yes, especially when Kaori intervened to help them stop. To be honest, some tears fell down in the moment when Ryosuke and Rin realized that she was actually there... just beautiful and very meaningful. 👍💙
And when I understood the real point behind this race, the character of Ryosuke became for me a real hero. In this battle, he put himself risking his own life with the only assurance from his skills and his FC. And why? To save a man who lost his will to live and has lost it to the point to wanting to kill Ryo for real, for a love lost from the both of them but whithout anything bad done from the latter. A true hero in here, hands down! 💪

This most insane episode of Initial D Stage 5 and one of my top 5 moment favorites list Ryosuke Takahashi isn't just genius but he also kind person that faced certain person & hard past life (despite having rapidly imagine Dio Brando whenever hear his voice since they share the same VA lol)
This is the coolest scene in the whole series for me I once drove down a mountain in Turkey and my brakes almost did nothing anymore and actually started burning. On my own this would have been pretty bad but I had 3 family members with me. Luckily we made it down the mountain safely but this scene always makes me slightly emotional, however ridiculous that may be to say about a cartoon about illegal racing.
The deep meaning behind all this is just amazing, if you can catch it... and I legit cried a little of emotion when the soul of Kaori came to help them stop and not get killed in this episode.

Idk man, the manga was always the superior option when experiencing Inital D but it's impossible even get an physical English copy now. But one good thing that came with the Anime was the amazing OST
i actually encountered a cargo truck accident here at this exact place and the reason he crashed was because of the brake fade i know this because i was stopping the bleeding from his head
The only part of this race that was unrealistic was when ryosuke drove on the wall, if that happened, almost any touge driver would flip and crash haha

Great scene, a real depiction of what would happen. But I would have included downshifting to lower gears and using the engine to help reduce speed, a true engine brake.
I would give anything for fifth and final stage to be dubbed. I understand why they stopped dubbing it, because not enough Americans watched it. But this is still a very popular anime, if you dub everything up to this season that just doesn’t make sense. It’s the last season of the series, dub it!

Maybe because they are ramming nearly everywhere and GTR was slowly losing its brakes and ryousuke refunded to gap him and was slowing down as well. At the near end of battle they both slowed massively and don't forget zero is not a slow driver
