If I remember correctly, Ryosuke's 2 instructions were: -Dont look at your rear view mirror and concentrate on pace in front -Dont go past 9k rpm in the first race to conserve your tires in the 2nd race.
The reason to not go over 9K RPM was to surprise Daiki. Since FWD tires wear out faster than RWD, Daiki got caught off guard in the 2nd race when his tires was done due to him trying to overtake Takumi in the 1st race. He thought the Hachi Roku was much slower than him.
1st instruction is for morale preservation. Takumi will definitely crack under pressure if he ever sees Daiki aggressively attacking from behind. 2nd instruction is basically saving the AE86's trump card until the last moment.
Back then when i was just a 14 years old guy i did not realise how hard it is and how many practices you need to perform superb braking like them, i drove a car with ABS in track and wasn’t really afraid to just step on it. Then when i drove a 90s car with not ABS, i was panicking bad like i gonna shit myself in that car. Took me years to learn how to brake without ABS in race track, watching Tsuchiya san braking skills just amazed me how great he is. Oh and that EK9, in my country the genuine EK9 Type R now cost the same as the FL5 Type R. 1.6 N/A VS 2.0 turbocharged, what a ridiculous price tag…
now i know why initial D feel better than MFG, because the character really into it and not just about a race and i kinda more like the style 3D model after 4th stage than new MFG
You have to watch Initial D S1 to S4. Its has the best races and great characters. S5 is trash so avoid that one. MF Ghost is just a repeat of Initial D but in a crappier way.
@@harryvuemedia5106 Final Stage was just a bad way to wrap things up...the idea was there...but the characters were pretty lame and just felt rushed. It should have finished after 4th stage.
@@lepoldbuttersstotch That's what I've been saying as well. That 4th stage should have been the last season. After the God Hand and God Foot races, do the Finale race, Takumi vs. Bunta. Bunta drives his Impreza and beats Takumi in his Hachi-Roku. Takumi loses the race and we finally get to see how great Bunta is at racing. This would be a great time for Bunta to reach out to his racing people and bring Takumi into the Professional league. Thus we see Takumi go Pro! And this would be a perfect time to bring Keiichi Tsuchiya into the anime as well!!!! Same with Keisuke. God Foot introduces him to a racing team and he goes Pro. And Project D is completed. 5th Stage was so boring as there was nothing left to prove or tell anymore. It was just dragging the story more than developing it. Takumi's last race on the touge was also the dumbest race of them all. Tomo is likely the Pro-Takumi we should have gotten. Tomo races in pro leagues, loses a lot and goes into a slump. Then he goes back to the Touge to find his motivation again for racing. So to me, Initial D ended at 4th stage and 5th stage never existed.
There's no mystery behind MFG. On a circuit the 86 gets dusted by most of the cars it's going up against. But on mountain pass downhill? There's an element of the unknown. They should have done a bunta series instead.
This is one of the most memorable battles in the 4th stage I think. The strategy leading up to the overtaking is truly excellent. The 4th stage shows a combination of the competitive spirit as a racer and the theory taught by Ryosuke, which is reflected in Takumi's passionate yet calm driving.
Ryosuke is the genuis prodigy, he should be the downhill racer in his Project D. Unfortunately he decided to retired after losing at Mount Akina to Takumi, the prodigy favored by god. Ryosuke would later on invite Takumi to join Project D 😁
How did you manage to get the car sounds so prominent if I can remember there was a different eurobeat track over this battle in the series did you separate the audio? also great video. 👍
Yes there is a different Eurobeat Track over the battle. Mostly I did the audio my self since 4th stage Doesnt have many left once i remove the music. Found a tactic to make the car sounds original. and Thank you! ❤
Lol EK9 type R lost to a 1983 Toyota Corolla Sprinter economy car, expected as such. Honda civics are nothing but just ricers and wanna be racers. FWD race cars lol wtf is even that? FWD cars are just motorized grocery carts, a boring old transportation to your office from your home. FWD cars are the sign that you're a middle age man that wants a spacious vehicle for your growing family and your dog.
Modding a FWD car and making it wide body means you're having a mid life crisis, that you want to experience racing lifestyle but you cannot because you have a fwd car.
@@weazeldark3983 Where? You mean entry-level racing which newcomers and racers with tight budgets race? Yeah after they do well on lowest level racing they will switch their ride with a more performance oriented rwd and awd in higher racing category.

FF front tires wear much faster than FR. FF front tires have to accelerate the car, turn the car and do most of the braking.
Ya, there's no way in reality that the tires on a FF will wear out faster than a FR that is drifting around every corner.
