Model Car Contest 2022 HMCA 42nd Annual Show

- HMCA (Hoosier Model Car Association) put on their 42nd Annual Model Car Contest in Franklin, IN. at the Johnson County Fairgrounds May 21, 2022.
The tables were loaded with GREAT builds! Over in the Swap Meet area several bargains were found along with some "hard to find" kits.
Round 2 and Moebius were there showing "future" releases while Jimmy Flintstone and Jo-Han were there with plenty to offer too.

Wow, memories of my childhood popping back in my head! How many of those kits I built in 60's and 70's and 80's. Most of these maybe reissues. I only have a couple left I built back then. Love checking these shows out Tim, thanks

@@shotdowninflames3466 Oh yea!!!! Heck, my BB Gun got taken away so I discovered bottle rockets. We made a little drag strip, loaded bottle rockets into models a tried racing them! LOL

Cool show! Some should know when to retire there build’s re- runs aren’t cool ! Used to retire them after 3 shows! I wouldn’t want to judge these shows anymore, the quality is unbelievable! Great video man!🤠🇺🇸👍🏻

Great video Tim. I left just before the rain came. Spent too much money in the vendors area also. Lots of good stuff and I could not pass on it.
Oh yea, it really stormed. Then it rained hard on the way home Kevin.... What all did you get? I picked up a few things too.
I picked up the new Kyle Larson and the 1976 Petty Charger by Salvino JR. Amt 1964 Impala SS and upgrade set for Revell Bronco by Fireball model works.

Looks like it was a great show with some really amazing builds! Thank you for sharing another video Tim! I had mentioned I live out here in ‘Crazytown’ USA, (California). For a while the only way I could see model car shows was through your videos and a few others on You tube so, always enjoying seeing other people’s builds, I really appreciate it. I have joined up with a club in Yuba City that put on a car show in November and there are a couple more around here that are rescheduled for June. The NNL West is June 25 in Santa Clara, so, fingers crossed, I’ll be seeing more live in person soon. Keep the videos coming!

@@THROTTLEPOWER that will be a great interview and I got a idea next time you see Okey Spalding interview him about johan and what molds he has left and if there might be a possible future or is he got enough of the molds left to sell to other model manufacturers?

Another great video Tim. I wanted to be there, had planned to attend the Mecum auction at the fairgrounds on Friday, the model show on Saturday, and Indy 500 qualifying on Sunday but got sick this week and couldn't do any of it!

The Tom Daniels kit at 2:54 I have not seen that one before. I always was big on Tom Daniels kits especially as a kid (60's) thought I've seen them all. I seen somewhere on these videos he designed 85 kits and I can remember about 40 of them. I've got to go to some of these shows and check out the vendors section to try and find some of this stuff.

Great show Tim. A lot of awesome builds there. They were all beautiful. Can’t help it I loved the commercial/heavy equipment table and the racing tables. That looked like a great swap meet too. Saw a lot of kits that would look great in my stash. Lol. Keep up the great work brother!!!

Man you guys have it made in the shade over there! If I was to fly over there from Downunder I would be up for an excess baggage bill that would be more than the fare over there! and the prices are so ferkin cheap!

Looks like Moebius Has 2 65 Coronet's coming out. Was that a 68 Coronet conv. at Round 2? Great coverage!
Yes, very cool Chris! I spent some time talking to them and I made separate videos that I'm putting out later this week on Round 2 and Moebius. They explain a bit more about each model and release dates.
What a awesome video great looking builds on the table I really like the banana splits do you remember them sitting there are they a model kit or were they resin or something
I remember them sitting there but I do not know anything about them. If I see them again I will find out who built them and ask!

I finally found what you were looking at and they are not real.
Lost instructions… that would’ve been bad. I recognized a few builds from previous videos - like the death car with the wedding cake topper.
