- The River City Modelers held their 1st Annual Model Car Contest/Swap Meet in Louisville, KY. Nov. 12, 2022
With close to 200 models on the tables the show was a HUGE success!! Vintage car models were plentiful in the Swap Meet and everyone enjoyed the day. AMT, MPC, Revell, Monogram, JoHan, Tamiya and more.

Snow in KY in November? That IS crazy! It’s even a little early for that up here in Ontario, Canada!
Nice to see an event like this come together. While I don’t have first hand experience organizing a show I appreciate the great amount of “behind the scenes” work that it takes to make a good event like this succeed.

Great video as always Tim, could you once month or two list your area shows and swaps. I'm 4 hrs from Louisville and would take in some of them. Thanks again for a great job of supporting the hobby

Nice! I used to compete in a lot of contests in Louisville back in the '90's. Lots of great talent then, and looks like there's still a lot of great talent now! Love the green Chevy at the 4:10 mark. Looks REALLY familiar, at least the 'style' does. I use to do a lot of Slammers, and that one reminds me of something Kenny Brickell would have built back then. Matter of fact, he inspired me to start building slammers. ;) Still building, although not competitive any more. At least not for the last 10 years anyway. ;)
Oh yea, Ken is still building and bringing his models to the shows Ronald!! I enjoy spending time with Ken as he has also inspired me to build slammers. If your still around the Louisville area try stopping by one of the contests next year and say "Hi" to Ken. Bring some of your models to, I would love to see them!!
@@THROTTLEPOWER Not sure when I could get up there as I'm now living in San Antonio (I used to live in Illinois). If you see Kenny ask him if he remembers "Bondoman". He gave me that nickname..lol. I still use it too. ;) I actually won the very first 'Bondo Award" he gave away at one of the contests up there. ;)
